I've found there have been a lot more speed cameras in recent years too. And they arent easy to see like our bright yellow ones in the UK. If your car has a speed limit function that stops you going above the limit I find that useful.

The camera will still operate but it could cause problems if any of the wires touch. I wouldn't do it. If you use a proper mounting box then there will be room to hide the wires in there.
