    Repair the profiles and keep them running. When they can no longer be mended, then a regular boiler is your best bet. The probem with free quotes is that the advice is sometimes worth what you paid for it.

    The water was clean on the install I did this week. I put the powerflush on it and got a load of filth out of the radiators. Powerflush takes best part of a day to do properly. Ask for a reduction in the labour charge if he isn't going to do the flush.

    Oh dear. Wrong boiler. The trouble is that they are Worcester accredited which means they will only look at Worcester products. In your case, there was not enough clearance for a WORCESTER boiler and the cylinder. But a different manufacturer would have had a boiler that would do the job...

    Whoever fitted the combi should have warned you about this. You need to look at the cold water wain serving your house. Insufficient flow rate to support both taps open at the same time.

    I would take the viessmann over the worcsster. And i would fit a magnaclean. Powerflush depends on how filthy the existing system is and may not be needed.

    I read this as the OP wanting to put a 4 inch soil pipe under the floor. I would be investigating how easy it would be to install a new soil stack on the other side of the house.
