The 240 is an exceptionally reliable boiler and I would keep it. PRV not going through wall is not a big issue and is easily remedied
Worcester has stopped supplying parts for the 240 but most stuff can be found if you look hard enough.
Welcome to the world of carp that is Lamona. I would try Howdens as your first port of call. They should have a spare parts programme for their products.
You may be able to repair the cartridge. Sometimes it is the thick seal at the bottom that has shrunk and needs to be replaced...
That would be absolutely fine. You dont need a huge amount, but some will ooze out when you assemble and tighten the backnut. Wipe it off right away before it starts to set.
make sure it is all clean and dry before applying the silicone.
The reason it is made that way is because the same tap...
I would put a smear of silicone on every surface. I often bin the rubber washer that is supposed to fit between plinth base and deck as they can be unsightly as they can splay out. If it is held in place by a groove then keep it in but smear with silicone to make it 100%. Yes you need a bead...
The way you are going then I predict a copious flow of water in the loft. What are you on about with this expansion tank boolax?
if you have got a plumber on the job then just let them get on with it and don't open your gob - because you will confuse and irritate in equal measure and they are...
Here we go again. It isn't a flawed design but feel free to try and take Bristan to court. Ask your plumber to put it right.
And by the way, next time someone helps you, you may want to use the word 'thanks' as the next time you ask for help there will be a resounding silence. Some of the...
It should have had clear silicone applied to the underside when it was installed and the excess wiped off before it dried. Tap needs to come off to do this.
This is why a simple tap swap can bite you on the bum. Any plumber with some experience knows what the instructions don't tell you.
So you have a go yourself and fook up a perfectly simple job. And then expect a third party to come out and wipe your bum for you after you have deliberately shat in your own pants. Sorry to bring you down to earth but this is most likely down to you. Yes, it is probably your fault so man up...
How did you find this plumber? Recommended by someone? It sounds like you could have done a better job yourself.
Inserts are essential.
Are you using barrier pipe for the heating?
That looks like it shoud be on display at the tate modern! I would suggest that the stubs are capped off and not joined together as in the picture. The link will create a short circuit that may starve radiators downstream of the link,
