    Baxi Bermuda 552 and 57/4M

Hence the "consult your local corgi guy"... Sorry; re-read my original post and it would seem a bit hard-lined.... :D Just wanted to re-inforce the fact that BBU's are still a possibility as I've followed up on a few jobs where people had been told they "had" to have their kitchen rebuilt to...

    Baxi Bermuda 552 and 57/4M

You can still fit a BBU/Fire in the UK as BBU/Fires are still a grey area and can be exempt from the new building regs... Consult your local CORGI guy.... I never advise fitting a second-hand appliance and would not personally ever fit one... But that is obviously upto your CORGI guy.

    Gas Burners Gunged Up

Contact the cooker's manufacturer and ask them for a new injector to replace the gunked up one. Alternatively; you could try compressed air - You should not insert anything to clear the blockage unless you know what you are doing as it could alter the injector size and as such, effect the...

    Cabin Heating

Size/Room Quantity? Residency type? Expected duration of usage? If it's just a one-room hut; I'd personally recommend; as you said; something like a log burner and whack some sawdust logs onto it.... But; depends on the usage, size of room and the expected use - Afterall; open fires could end...

    GAS FIRE

Reclaimed and decorative gas fires from donkey's years ago are still in regular circulation and it doesn't need any classification as long as it is installed to standard. There are also a few dates when different laws becoming applicable; I've got them all in a book in the van - If you need...

    Bath Panel

Depends on the type of panel - A lot of people re-inforce them with wooden battening to take the flex out of them - Especially the cheap package deal ones. As for cutting it - Don't even bother; set the bath legs so the lip of the bath matches the existing size of the panel nicely.

    gas pipe size

My one and only bit of advice on this.... Just phone up CORGI (0800 915 0485) and speak to them. If you get in a second opinion; you could be just throwing money down the drain by paying a second engineer to just "look-it-over".... If you contact CORGI; which is what I pay my...

Help me remove my radiator please

    8) Well done  Now you just gotta get it back on when the works done.... My tip; use a small amount of PTFE on the olives attached to the tails on the rad - Not too much; just enough to ensure a good seal is made.

    Which CH system????

This really is a very broad area.... I'll sum up my opinions.... Unvented HW - More expensive to install - Higher efficiency - Needs to be maintaned every year - Mains hot water throughout property - No tanks in the loft
