cougar town gave me an idea...

I was thinking more of the DIY market, but for freezing paint, if they had bags then they could put them in insulated boxes??? sort of like a reverse coolbox? there's the storage space saving too, if you had square cartons then you can get more in a smaller space.. there's the "paint...

cougar town gave me an idea...

so I'm watching cougar town and they had a stupid idea on there that I'm thinking might be a good one after all... bags of paint... :D In this day and age of reducing packaging, I'm thinking it might me a good idea.. saves on tins / tubs etc... if a bag is not practical, you could use...

what amp to use on fuses

Sorry but I have to agree with the other replies. This is not a job for a diy'er. Especially one who is not fluent in English as there are lots of regs to follow and forms to fill in. If you intend to try and employ the services of an electrician to test then it's best to get them involved...

    Trying to avoid unnecc rewiring!

you say the breaker won't reset, yet mention voltage at various lights.. does it turn back on or not? this switch you've changed, is it a dimmer? ( don't even get me started on putting 250W of lighting in then turning them down because it's too bright.. ).. at a guess there's a...

    What the....!!!!

if al the fuses were out at the same time to turn off the upstairs ring, then there's a chance that the 5A has become cross connected with a 30A somewhere along the lines ( possibly bedside table lamps on 5A sockets replaced with 13's and linked in to the ring somewhere.. ) if you only pulled...

    Dry lining boxes and Laths....

you can get metal dry lining boxes now.. they are the fire resistant ones with the intumescent foam gaskets in them.. if your metal boxes have holes in the side then you could always screw sideways into a piece of 1x1 timber, or even the laths if it will hold.. bit of adhesive on to keep...

    Started My Diet...

at 6ft 4in, 200lbs is at the top end of the "normal" BMI range, but that's like 14st 4lbs.. rediculous if you ask me.. it's what I was aiming for, but after talking to a mate at work who's about my height, he's about 17st and looks ok so I'll aim for that and see what I look like when I get...

    Dishwasher tripping RCBO

my guess, water / damp causing a N-E short.. nothing plugged in means not much current running down that leg to cause a big enough N-E current.. with the dishwasher in then there's more current in the leg so more can leak.. have a look in the socket and see if it's wet / damp... ( with the...

    Dry lining boxes and Laths....

tube of "sticks like sh*t" and a block of wood with a metal back box.. glue the block to the other inside of the wall and screw the box to that.. sorted.. 8) failing that, I thing that marshal tufflex ones are better for deeper walls ( I think it's marshal tufflex, they have white...

    old cable after a job

it does belong to them and is technically theft. unless your quote for work specifically says removal and disposal of old / waste material then everything that you bring onto the jobsite that they have paid for is also theirs... having said that you should ask them if they want to keep any of...
