    OTT or not?

I know someone recently that got their account emptied, so for me you can't be too careful. I'm with First Direct too and would be happy that they are going to those lengths to protect my account. Who you really need to complain about are all the scammers that have made all these failsafe...

    Gobby dog

As a dog owner myself I would never assume anyone is happy with a dog unless they've invited the inaction themselves. One of my daughters friends is terrified of dogs so when she comes round we have the dogs in another room and that's how it should be. Our two Labradors have never shown any...

    JIS screwdiver bits and Phillips

I've battled with JIS screws for 25 years working on Japanese Motorcycles (they have a dot on the screw head). Proper JIS screwdriver is the only way really, was mulling over buying some screwdriver bits recently, they look good value.

Hinges that allow DG windows to open like wooden windows / doors?

I thought all windows had the easy clean position?. Seems odd they'd go to the trouble of making two different setups.

Repairing a cut Virgin Media broadband cable

I'm surprised they didn't bury the cable when they installed your broadband, ours is underground all the way up to the front wall.

? Change stopcock to quarter turn valve

Out stopcock was "tempramental" and they'd fitted it at floor level.. I put a 1/4 turn full bore valve in further up the pipe as said above. You've still got a WRAS compliant stop cock fitted still (even though you don't use it).

Roof ladder - what's the ideal length? And is two piece a no-no?

That is a bit odd!. Do you own a cat? (maybe Google adapted due to previous searches?).

    What is Bitcoin for?

From what I've seen it goes hand in hand with the Dark Web (TOR) and probably why it began (completely untraceable at one point). I believe TOR use for nefarious activities has been winding down for years after the FBI etc chucked a load of money into finding some criminals operating on it...

Only intended buying a replacement vac..

I fixed our new heating engineers motorcycle a few days after he'd serviced our boiler. Just chatting about work and he mentioned he had some faults on a bike he'd just bought so I booked him in and fixed it (VFR 800 iirc).

    Anyone with Covid?

I've had it, loss of taste for over a month but got away lightly, headaches etc asside. I know healthy people who have been hospitalised with it so I'd class it as a few levels up from a mild cold if you are one of the unlucky ones..
