    National identities

This is not a good time to be a small farmer. Maybe there never was a good time. If you like being surrounded by nature then ok. Because that is exactly what you get. Not wealth, parties, fancy houses. Can't even build your own house on your own land with your own hands these days. Ot is getting...

Just announced on sky M Jackson

Well seriously, anyone who decides to be in a position like this of having their children entertained by an eccentric millionaire prone to giving away lavish gifts should not be complaining about what they get, good or bad. This is a little complicated because I do not think people should...

Its my birthday, and what a s**t present!

Is it one of those antique planes held together with string and brown paper? Wind blowing your head away? Get them to fly upside down for a bit. After that a jumbo will be a doddle.

    Damocles and his EU

Hi freddie, sorry I was busy elsewhere. Erm, so what is new about those figures? They just say that the EU is paying development aid to the poorer members. Next set of figures will no doubt show much less money to spain et al. and and more to Poland etc. All it says is we have a 3billion...

Just announced on sky M Jackson

Granted he's a total nutter, but then in a sense he can (or could) afford to be. You have to say that a 2-3 million dollar payoff to someone accusing you of this sort of thing was probably a lot cheaper than fighting it out in court.

£1. 34 PER MILE ARE THEY KIDDING

If you do it by radio signal then everyone will be rushing over to France for foreign registered cars so they are not fitted with transponders and don't pay the tax. But if it was number plates then I am sure they would manage to post the bill to your French address.

    French Constitution Vote

I am sure eurocrats love collecting countries like other people collect stamps. The difficulty though is whether the countries are sufficiently compatible to be able to join.

    identity cards.........

And hey, they can track you through your mobile phone already. Soon they will also be able to track your car. What difference does it make if they can identify you by camera when you walk down the high street.

£1. 34 PER MILE ARE THEY KIDDING

Someone just pointed out another darling side to this scheme. The government will be able to completely dismantle all those speed cameras. They know which roads you are driving along and what times you are driving. Thats so they can bill you correctly. But from that you can simply calculate how...

    British EU rebate

Well they are not common knowledge to me, nor to any poles of my acquaintance. Never mind PC, I thought the government had made it mandatory for employers to check the nationality/status of anyone they employ.

    French Constitution Vote

As I remember it the plan was that confusion and argument resulting from expansion would hold up further integration or make agreement on additional changes impossible.

    British EU rebate

If it really worked like that then all his workers would be asking to work for lower wages. And there is still the question of why some 'agency' is out touting on behalf of these people.

    British EU rebate

Well yes, may last year was the earliest time to start counting, unless they were legitimately working here already. But if they were then I think that by now they would have figured out how the system works and gone off and got better jobs elsewhere. Which they are entirely entitled to do...

    French Constitution Vote

I suspect it was margaret Thatcher, who wanted a wider rather than a deeper EU. Entry negotiations with China would be interesting.

supplementry bonding in with only a light point?

To chuck in my own pennies worth: You may have to bond pipes coming in even if there is no electricity at alll in the room. On the other hand you might not have to bond to the light if it is outside the defined bathroom zones. Generally a standard ceiling is high enough to be outside unless...

    British EU rebate

Umm, no I dont think so. As i remember it you are not entitled to any uk benefits until you have been here for the time limit. I also saw something which said the Irish were not applying any restrictions to new member state citizens. Which might be relevant to freddie.

    British EU rebate

Well they might in the Irish republic but they do not in the uk.
