Neighbour getting smells from our extractor fan?

I think this case they do not wish to do the job, no so much for the difficulty but probably for the time and hence the cost.

    Fireplace - Expensive Quote?

Surely she has a regular service on the gas fire. Any good, registered gas technician should advise her any likely issues and supply a report. Has her fire been serviced recently?

    Fireplace - Expensive Quote?

People of that age like to 'see' heat otherwise they are cold no matter how warm they are. (I know - my father was always cold unless the fire was glowing red.)

Neighbour getting smells from our extractor fan?

Finally the most helpful pictures! But it wouldn't surprise me if a square section pipe would fit behind the exhaust pipe out of the boiler - that could then nbe converted back to round section to pass through the wall.

    Trump triumphs again

I'm beginning to think he is insensitive to others sensibilities and feeling - yet because of that he has the ability to think 'Outside the Box"! And say it out loud.

    Help !! Please.....

Very definitely - fix into the Breeze blocks - to at least half the thickness of the blocks. use plenty of fixings on the rail.

    Help !! Please.....

Is the wall Plasterboard - Dot'n'Dab onto a block wall? My first thought on seeing your picture of the wall was it is a stud and plasterboard wall. I was intending to comment that the long rail will have more supportive strength as it can be fixed to all the studs through the plasterboard...

    Help !! Please.....

By far the best if not the only solution. Looks like you have an adjoining cupboard to the one that came down. I'd recommend that you take that cupboard (and any others on that wall and use the rail to support all the cupboards. If you have adjoining cupboards there should be fixings to hold...

Neighbour getting smells from our extractor fan?

Watch out, Rachel from accounts has got her pen and paper out.

This country can't get anything integrated (even b****y immigration)! HS2 goes from the wrong station to the wrong city(s) (P'borough, York, N-o-Tyne, Edinburgh with links off across the country to Leeds, Manchester/L'pool) - that would give those cities a direct rail link into Europe. But I...

    Not to scared to ask...

Just need to ask millipede - I'm sure he can explain why energy prices are going up. (Or is so that they can come down in 4&1/2 years time?)

I wish we had big Don in charge over here !

A Third? Surely you mean 6th...:) But with HS2 that brings Birmingham Airport into the business. The third runway is what you meant - Yes?

Neighbour getting smells from our extractor fan?

With experience I can only agree - what is so bad you won't smell yourself but others will - ON YOU. With many people keeping windows closed more and better sealing of opening windows there is less through flow of air which reduces condensation (and hence damp and mould). If your extractor hood...
