Could I retro fit that? Presumably it would need an additional 90° bend down into the existing waste pipe.

Any good reason why the drain hose would be siliconed into the waste pipe? If there is then is there a neater way to do it? For example, with an adaptor or similar.

They've definitely been removed. I've adjusted the feet and everything is good now.

I went for this option because I had nuts and olives in a bag of spare parts, so it was the quickest, easiest and cheapest option. Worked a treat and I'm very happy with my new taps.

B&Q refunded the trap without any hassle. I ordered the correct part online and fitted it. So far so good (y)

I was going with the simple replacement option. I happened to be in B&Q and grabbed the 40mm trap without thinking. I've opened the bag, so they might not refund me.

I suspect getting in there with a jet wash will result in a flooded shower room. But given that I don't have one then I won't be trying it.

I'm about to scream very loudly. I've bought and unpacked the mcalpine anti-syphon P trap and it's a completely different shape to the one I've removed. See photos. Section F on the existing trap is wide to accommodate section C 40mm pipe. The equivalent of section F on the new trap is not. £11...

It's not on those ikea type wheeled runners. It seems fixed to the runners.

Any ideas how to remove this front drawer to make accessing these pipes that bit easier? It's not the lift and pull out type. It seems to be fixed to the runners.

Would sound proofing make any significant difference? I've not had time to replace the P trap under the sink with an anti-syphon version. I'm hoping that will at least eliminate the gurgling under the sink.

I've only had this place a month and due to many boring reasons, I've not long actually moved in and then started finding all the problems. I think it was done in 2019. It's 4 flats over 3 levels in a listed mill conversion. Two share the ground floor, including me. Two share the top floor, and...

I now think the source of the noise is from my upstairs neighbour's pipework running behind this boxing in my kitchen. I can hear it plain as day standing next to it. The poor quality of plumbing in this conversion is beyond belief.

I'm sure I have nuts in a bag of plumbing spares but not olives. What size olives do I need?
