    Soft closers for internal doors?

These work well and dont affect the door until its almost completely closed. Quite big and obvious when fitted though. https://www.slamproof.co.uk/FR-3G-Adjustable-Door-Damper-100kg

Are you sure there's a fuse in there? most lights just have a fuse in the plug. Its really hard to picture what your talking about without a photo.

    Kingspan septic tank not working

If your confident using a multimeter to measure mains voltage, I'd start by opening that cover on the left with the sticker "off isolator ok" and check for voltage at the incoming terminals. Then you know if the problem is inside this panel or the lack of supply before it.

    Metal Garage Door

Oh, I need side hung to be able to have the 1/3, 2/3 split as the door willl be the only access into the garage and need to make it easy to get into daily for the washing machine, freezer etc. This is in the garden rather than at the front of the house.

    Metal Garage Door

Hi, I'm considering a side hung metal garage door: https://www.cardale.com/our-doors/side-hinged/ Does anyone have any experience of these, are they a good secure idea or a tinny thin mess and waste of time?

Are these self drilling masonry screws best for old plaster?

These are not self drilling, They are just bolts that dont need plugs in the wall first. The drill size is actually quite important to avoid snapping the bolt or it not gripping at all. Look at the back of the packet, it even says 6mm drill.

DAB in the car..............what a waste of money!!

A friend of mine had terrible trouble with their cars built in DAB. After months of pulling the car apart and testing things and garage visits it turned out the problem was interference from a cheap 12V to USB adapter he always had in the car for charging things. It would be worth unplugging...

Satellite boxes with good EPG and HD.

I've had the older Humax HDR-1000S freesat for years now (built in hdd) and its been excellent in use and still going strong. Can plug an external drive into it as well but I dont know if you can watch the recordings on a computer afterwards. I can only imagine the new box is just as good if not...

Arcing when inserting mains fuse in consumer unit

Probably something else on that circuit that isn't turned off, like a bathroom fan or something else hard wired. Not really anything to worry about.

    Aqualisa Shower Head Holder Loose

That looks plastic, and really looks like its just been opened up, you can see the point in the middle that's stressed from it spreading. Just replace it with another rail, can pick it up from screwfix etc.

    Advise From Experienced Roofers Please.

Having struggled to find trades myself I'd just pay the guy in cash and get the repair done. If he guarantees he can fix the leak then that would do for me.

A question on shutting of water to change a mixer tap

You should find the main stopcock while things are OK, its no good looking for it when water is coming out somewhere due to a future leak or problem! Those valves will shut off though yes, you just turn them 90 degrees so the slot is across the pipe run.

What about moving the door around that corner and closing off the bed side so it would be a deep but narrow cupboard?
