Does coppaslip cause pads to stick ?

Could well have been.....have lost the tube so can't check. I didn't see it on my travels offshore either, would have recognised the packet and some may have accidentally found its way into my PPE bag ;) Use rocol stuff for greasing gas taps now but its messy stuff and dries out too easily.

Does coppaslip cause pads to stick ?

I only know I have never had a problem. I even put a light smear between the wheel and hub to stop the dissimilar metals sticking together. A pal gave me a wonder thread lube from offshore years ago and it was great but I have run out and never seen it for sale since.

    Knee pads in work trousers

Bottom loaders are generally the cheap ones. Snickers still do the best but they are pricey. They last for me for years though and I kneel on them 5 days a week. Never had the pockets fill up or wear out and if you get the proper contour pads they don't twist off your knee so easily either.

Does coppaslip cause pads to stick ?

I do that as well but some sources will tell you it will affect your torque values. By how much I don't know and I suspect few of us will bother to torque many bolts anyway so possibly a moot point.

Kill marine life - only 5p a go.

Supposedly the average number of bags per person per year is 140. For 7 quid a year I will just keep using the carrier bag and then subsequently use it for the bathroom bin. The cost of buying small bin bags for that will probably offset most of it anyway. Add to that the convenience of just...

    Negative interest rates.

Shame all the comments were from septic tanks going on about Obaba policies. I didn't read every comment but saw only one comment from someone in Sweden and he was an Ex-pat that seemed happy because his mortgage was easy to obtain. I can't see the UK public buying into this....we are not super...

    Website of the year

Site of the year? No other site puts me back a couple of days in time when I press the back button on my browser. Also the posts that I haven't read don't self prune quick enough leaving me to use the antiquated "mark forums read" link. The last incarnation had none of these problems. Sorry no...

How much to replace heater matrix in 05 berlingo 1'9 d?

RHD cars are mostly lashups of LHD cars. Most of the repairs were designed to be done on the LHD original version.

Buying a car - a road tax question.

Only if it specifically says so in your T&C's.

Buying a car - a road tax question.

Don't be a fanny and just drive it home. Get it taxed when you get round to it. If you are unlucky enough to be caught then just pay up. Done.

    Bmw 740 95reg miss firing

I bought the 540i for 1200 quid....was 8 year ago so was a bit pricey for 186k miles but it was in near mint condition......sadly the dreaded 6 speed box 2nd syncro problem fully reared its head after a sound thrashing of a Subaru loser. :D If the cam sensor has been changed I would check that...

    Bmw 740 95reg miss firing

Whats the mileage on this? I had a similar if not identical issue with an E34 540i (same M60 engine) that I never fully got to the bottom of but did improve to 99% working so I could blow the gearbox :) Problem with the E38's is they are packed with electronics and most of it is probably coded...

Prospective builders of UK Nuclear power stations.

They can't build drilling rigs. Last chinese built one I was on was near brand new and in worse shape than the 1970/80's built Skando and Canadian ones.

Surely they are not allowed to sell these?

Good point, I missed it was a cordless.

Surely they are not allowed to sell these?

Not sure how that one is safer than the £20-30 quid ones I buy. The only bonus I can see to that one is the body is slimmer so it's easier to hold. That is the one thing that annoys me with grinders. £130 for a grinder is ridiculous though.

Just been reminding my Oz mate - what's what !

Problem is F1 is a load of ****y **** right now. It may be worth watching if they ever get their act together but not for me just now. I used to watch the V8's back in the day when they were regularly on (sunday mornings?)....was fun with Barry Sheene commentating. I can't be arsed with...

for how long and to what pressure do people pressure test for?

Best hope you don't if it's full of air. We had a chap at my current place who tried to test two test caps screwed together but the threads were incompatible and he hadn't purged the air out them properly. He then also took the pressure up to 1kpsi over the 10kpsi test pressure. When it blew...

    4x4 Purchase guidance rqd

The Wolf is a good motor but I think the OP is looking for something a bit less agricultural and possibly with independent rear suspension. Also any landy without a V8 in it is utterly pointless. :D

We Need These Signs On Our Motorways!

If the limit is 70mph and you set cruise control at that speed your average speed will actually be in the low 60's. That BMW driver on your arse is me with my cruise set to around 77mph or whatever I have calculated using the average speed function on the computer is going to put me at true...
