I would change the valves anyway, if they are that old they will probably only pass anyway. That way you don't need to mess about looking for odd size pumps. Why drain down when you can bung the system and change it all in under an hour? (depends on the position of the pump of course)

Why are folk still making the mistake of allowing people to drive off with the V5c? The seller keeps the completed V5c and sends it in to the DVLA, the buyer only gets the green slip on the back page as a receipt. That way you won't get any fines etc. ALWAYS send the V5c in by recorded...
