    Personally I’d keep the intruder alarm and cctv systems separate. Intruder - Pyronix Euro 46. CCTV - Hikvision Tvi Pyronix are owned by Hikvision so you can use both systems via one app. Out of interest how much were Banham asking to subscribe for the usage of the app?

    There could be a tiny spider inside or a large spider outside. How old is the unit? If it’s failed once I’d replace it with a Pyronix 15DQ detector and ensure that the cable entry is sealed.

    Night image is the most important factor to me. Hikvision ColorVu cameras are getting good reviews. Trouble with cctv is that there are too many variables. You’ll drive yourself crazy trying to decide what is best.

    Depends. How many days retention do you require? Method of saving the data? Maximum amount of data that can be saved? It is never straight forward with cctv.

    The human eye sees at approx 12fps so not much point recording at a higher fps. Highest resolution is usually better but it depends on your recording capacity. More resolution needs more storage.     Put the system into walk test. Wait 3-4 minutes before you test the PIR.

    The PIR led will only work when powered up or the tamper switch is opened closed. Then the PIR will stay in test mode for approx 10 minutes. As the system is a basic one way wireless system the panel does not communicate with the PIR to transmit a set/unset status.

    Ion is a one way wireless system. Once activated the pir will go into sleep mode for approx 180 seconds. After the sleep mode the detector will rearm.
