    Backerboard tape question

Are you fitting panels to the walls rather than tiles? Panels usually use corner trims that the panels slot into. Walls will need to be pretty square. I used these trims for the panel to tray joint Neat finish and a good seal. Lots of options to ensure a good seal

Broken flywheel, should I scrap the car?

Difficult one. Could be a good investment if the rest of the car is OK. Have you had it long? Have you had much work done to it? Colleague has a 2011 Passat diesel with well over 200K. Has spent a fair bit over the last few years on worn items, suspension, bushes. What would you replace it with?

Radiator inlets too near flow/return pipes

Are the rads different widths? You can get longer rad tails to fit a narrower rad. DIY and have replaced some older rads with new. Floorboards up and modified the pipework with compression joints. A fair bit of time but low cost.

Is my heat pump dryer saving me money?

The hot air from the drying process is recycled back into the machine. The room we have the drier in used to get a lot warmer with a condenser drier than it does with a heat pump.

    Acer Travelmate 7720 hinge

Replacement hinges https://www.amazon.co.uk/DBTLAP-Acer-Travelmate-7520-7520G/dp/B079JGBB78 Often laptops with stiff hinges rip the threaded inserts out of the lid so there will be nothing to screw the hinges to. If this is the case, you may be able to glue or araldite the inserts back in. I...

    Fauty Wiser HubR

To be fair to you, 102 is also the type of numbering used for caps. Normally small ceramics/poly. 240V on the Hub so potentially a little risky. I have had the odd mains and undischarged capacitor tickle over the years

    B & q kitchen drawer fail

Have a google image search for under sink drawer Most look similar. Some have a bit of storage across the front. Not all sinks are the same size and shape. Not practical for B&Q, etc to have different sink drawers for each type of sink. Where do you think storage could be added that wont...

Who is the manufacturer of this tilt and turn window handle?

Could CA be Canada? There appears to be some other markings on your last pic by your thumb. This looks quite similar https://www.ogscanada.ca/tilt-turn-window-door-handle-euro-style-white/

How much should a Block Drive cost?

I have just paid around £130/SQM in Manchester for brindle block. Did include some hedge removal, new step and tarmac work on the footpath. Have you researched into the two companies? Lot of dodgy driveway firms.

Ceiling Rose Removal for IKEA light installation

DIYer Ceiling rose wiring seems to confuse a lot of people. If you understand what does what it is pretty simple. A before photo is always a good idea :) The connections should be in a junction box. Can you get access from above? What does the new light look like? Would it hide the hole...

    Chimney damp issues

Have had this in my 1930s. Damp on breasts upstairs and down. Lots of work on the chimney stack that never solved it in the 20 odd years we have been here. Stack now removed to below roof level and slated over. Stained plaster removed from breasts and redone. Seems to have sorted it finally.

They are money making businesses. Not sure about cults. (All hail the great overlord Syn). It is relatively simple to follow and track to keep within recommended calories and portion control. You could do this yourself with some work.
