2006 Fiesta, driveshaft or differential noise

A short length of tube in the ear is only any real use for balancing carbs... Just because your gearbox was checked at the last service doesn't mean it's still full, it may have sprung a leak. I'd say most likely to be a wheel bearing and for what it costs, that would be my first choice. PeterN...

    New vs Used?

    Fitting new taps

Exactly. Age Concern bung their cut on top and my mum pays £16 an hour for a cleaner. Plus she seems to pay Age Concern £40 odd for the privilege. They got a pasting for recommending home insurance which cost double the average price. They're not concerned about the aged, only about making money...

    Alloy v Steel Wheels

I'd need to start again at the age of 6. That's as far back as I remember and things were starting to go wrong. I had a very average career in insurance which I drifted into. Relationships have not gone well.

    New vs Used?

Look on Autotrader for examples of what you fancy. Generally used cars are 50% of the new price at 3 years old. Some more, some less.

Cn anyone tell me the Mk4 polo electrode gap

Your bit of tube is a good idea. The tube would slip before you'd crossthreaded the plugs.

Why not suggest you'll take it to court? They can't want to fund an internal legal action.
