    Drain down or vaccum lock it. Remove innards including the old washer which will most likely need prising out... You can use a long screw to go through the hole and grip it to aid removal. Replace washer or buy a new drain cock and harvest the innards.

    WP should have been checked by the engineer you have already thrown money at! It's one of the first things I'd have checked and should be done by anyone coming out to your issue!

    Remember... ANY heat source will perform better with low flow temps. Gas boilers also perform well on efficient systems and the price of gas is only going to rise!

    Use a compression elbow (or coupling) internally. Some manufacturers specify this and it's also easier to check for let by if prv fails. Externally, I use 2 elbows and cut the lower socket off the 2nd elbow, it looks neater... The gap from wall should be same size as diameter of pipe.

    Yep. And tank is fully sealed. Sometimes takes a bit of krypton factor to get them out and back in but you soon learn the right wiggle being an engineer!
