    Recycled Plastic Sleepers

Now surely you can answer that. You probably need a local supplier for something this heavy so get Google out... wood are going to be easier to find. Note softwood are not rated to last decades, plastic presumably will be around in a century though a bit tatty by then.

Half an acre on a slope which mower advice please, 21/22" powered mower or a small ride on

Meadows still need cutting and now that's going to need a bigger mower. If the OP wanted a wildlife meadow or to get rid of the lawn they probably would have said. OP how steep and uneven is the slope? This makes a huge difference. As does, how pristine and neat do you want - a sort of grassy...

    Disposing of insulated plasterboard

I kind of thought that was the case... Not a nice job the way people treat skips! They are welcome to the money they charge

    Disposing of insulated plasterboard

I always wondered with skips, does someone have to sort it all or does it just get taken to the dump?

    Disposing of insulated plasterboard

If you're a prat, why not just fly-tip it?

    Disposing of insulated plasterboard

Whenever I hire a skip they say PB is on the no-no list along with car tyres and part-filled paint cans, they let you put a little bit on top but that's it. How are you supposed to get a skip for a larger amount... like if you are rippling out a whole room/house to renovate?

    Website cookies ...

If a website requires me to install additional software just to use it properly, it's a **** website. And anyway, many people don't close their browser all the time. It stays open in constant use. Not to mention mobile users, etc. It's just shoddy.

    Cookie consent panel

This site has by far the largest and most unfriendly cookie consent panel I've ever seen. It takes up half the screen on my PC and I still have to scroll... furthermore there is no obvious "essential only" option I can see, and you default to every single thing being turned on. To disable things...

How much water should come from my combi condensate pipe?

The plumber's thought previously (if I understood him) was if the condensate pipe was blocked it could back up into the boiler? But like I said that was already checked so my query is how to find where the leak is, since it doesn't drip anywhere when it's turned off, and when it's all wet...

How much water should come from my combi condensate pipe?

Thanks - sorry I forgot to add the type (Baxi duo tec Combi). I haven't noticed it dripping when the boiler isn't running but as I've mentioned in a previous thread before we have ongoing issues with water appearing in the 'top' chamber behind the main removable front cover. We thought it might...

How much water should come from my combi condensate pipe?

We've recently had our condensate pipe replaced and rerouted as it has issues, it was bodged into the gutter and now runs down the side of the house so I can see it. My boiler is running and I can see a constant flow of water... Not a solid stream but almost, certainly a very fast drip. Is this...

    Garden drainage - soakaway solution?

FYI we installed soakaway crates (possibly these ) as the rainwater drainage for a log cabin in our garden, since there was nowhere to direct run-off. Essentially a digger excavated a 2-3 cubic metre hole and we put the crates in with our gutter downpipe feeding in, and a foot of soil on top. No...

    Leaking metal shed

I think we need photos. You say the water barrier sheet is on top of the wood, but then you say "water is sat on top of the visqueen to the point the osb has began to rott and break away"... water sat on the plastic won't cause the OSB to rot, that's the whole point as it keeps the water off...

    NotDIY concrete slab removal

This sounds like something you could do yourself if you rent a breaker (guessing 50 for a day?) and hire a skip (more like 300 quid round here) if you have the time and are physically up to it. Though it depends on how thick the concrete is and if there's any reinforcement? Our local...

    New shed condensation

Ventilation won't help the issue where you have warm air touching cold surfaces and condensation forming... But it should help with mould which is probably more important

    New shed condensation

Do you have any insulation or heating? I would actually have thought being in the shade would give a more consistent temperature. As someone said, we have had quite unusual weather recently so you might want to wait a while before getting too concerned. Find a way to deal with the water though...

Best way to install DPM on existing concrete floor

You could lay a simple plastic DPM and add another layer of concrete/self leveling if you can lose the height. Although I'm wondering what would be so bad simply laying the plastic sheet directly under your underlay, maybe I'm missing the obvious but as long as you don't damage the dpm shouldn't...

    New shed condensation

Condensation simply means the air is touching something significantly colder. When the air temperature increases rapidly, your tins take much longer to heat up so you get the same effect as a cold glass of coke on a warm day. It could be because odd weather has caused the air to hear you...

How can I dry out wet concrete outside in winter?

He could have mopped it (your see this in F1 pit lane often after rain) but it seems unlikely concrete paint would dry well at such low temperatures anyway.
