How much of a problem is kettling (energysaver 60)?

the kettling itself is not a danger however as mickey has pointed out, there may be some serious underlying issues that may result in the blocking of your heating system. in my opinion you should get someone to deal with this even if (especially if) you are planning to get a new boiler.

    Gas supply to Hob

remember that your extractor may also need raising for safe clearance 760mm from burner to exctractor iirc. why not save the expense of running new gas and invest instead in a nice induction hob. even better performance than gas and cleaner.

    Ideal isar 30 he help

whooping noise? blocked condense, and as libby mentioned, a serious safety issue with earth brackets. plus the burner seal screws have a brilliant knack for coming undone. really really needs annual safety checks. like all boilers.

    Potterton Suprima 30, dead?

from the mention of a flame symbol on your thermostat it sounds like you have a wireless stat possibly. if so. when turning up or down, check that you hear a 'click' from your reciever. ive had quite a few of these fail lately. but coupled with your possesion of a suprima and a boilermate...

New unvented system poor central heating performance

it sounds like the system just needs balancing correctly. the system should have been flushed by the 'plumber' already. just dont pay him until he has your system working correctly. you havent payed him , have you?

    Sealing An expansion Vessel Leak

with the thread, and if you are using multi wrap as suggested, us approx 20 wraps overlaping as you go. a little blob of silicone grease will help the fittings go together as well.

Ferroli boiler - Flue seal leaking - I think

so what you are saying is you have a flue concealed in your ceiling void and its leaking. STOP USING YOUR BOILER. you need a different engineer to look at this immediately. if your flue cannot be seen along its entierety and is though to be leaking, you or others may be at serious risk of...

    baxi solo 2 50pf

nope, the most likely fault is the gasket which fits between the flue and then fan outlet. about a tenner. if the boiler has not been recently serviced you could tie it all up iin one visit as you need a gas seafe eng to carry out the work anyway. most bg guys carry one.
