Do u have a mini expansion vessel fitted on the mains water inlet to boiler?

pull down battery draws until power fades turn off fused spur turn power back on (red light lit) press and hold down button 1 then button 2 (red led will flash then eventually go out) slide battery draws back in red led will flash for roughly 5 seconds job done :)

When u turn power off the bg wireless stats need recommunicating,the red light isnt low battery,it just means it needs to b put in learn mode

Is it a wireless roomstat??it sounds as if it needs re-setting with reciever.when u turn r/stat up does the green light come on the reciever?if not it needs resetting.

if u havent had any problems u dont need it....the whole point of a filter is to prevent problems,just because its sealed sytem doesnt mean it wont have muck in it,if its over 10 years old and no inhibitor put in it its highly likely it will have plenty of sludge in system,prevention is better...

To test a switch ure looking for closed circuit with a multimeter set to ohms when there is a demand etc.to test a temp sensor it all depends on manufactures.each sensor has specific resistances depending on temp.again u use multimeter and test thru wires

agree with 45yold,a full new valve is req'd,straightforward job

this is a difficult 1 to answer,u really need an rgi there to see where in the sequence of operation the boiler is failing

hows a diaphragm gonna solve problem if microswitch making??also as the diverter is 8 months old its very rare for a diaphragm to wear and tear in that time.....

get the plate cleaned/replaced then get the engineer to quote u for a suitable sludge filter which then will hopefully prevent the plate blocking up again in future

u say the div valves been changed 4 times,unfortunately this could have been due to just the diaphragm req changing,some engineers do a full valve change even tho its just a diaphragm req'd.if the boiler didnt fire on hw demand then its more than likely just diaphragm.

as holty said u could gamble on a diaphragm change but to be fair if the boiler fires on hw deand the diaphragm is doing its job,

the symtoms u have given it will be a passing diverter valve,despite whether it was changed 8 months ago,if the system is full of sludge then it can seize up the valve,wot was the reason for it being changed b4??

forgot 2 say if ure diverter is passing ure hot water will not be as hot :D
