How u gonna get a boiler repair cos sum numptys been playing about with a gas boiler that he knows nothing bout?3rd party fault etc,nobody would cover that. :)

If u think hes gonna rip u off why ask for a quote and why get bg out in the first place.the common opinion with people is 'oh hes trying to get me 2 buy a new boiler'or 'oh is he gonna rip me off'??why ring in the first place????

sludge isnt covered at bg as long as they have PREVIOUSLY qouted.i.e blocked c-feed u have to clear then quote then any future problems arnt covered,again plate-plate if its blocked and they havent adv flush then u have to change it,these are the jobs that they use sonic clean for,and they aint...

wont be diverter mate on these.the diaphragm in these is activated by central heating water and not mains water,if it was changed years ago then it will definately not be it,it is very rarely a diverter fault.could a blockage in the weep tubes from the servo valve.if the diverter moves fully...

Drain from prv and leave it open,attch footpump and pump to .8 or a bar,replacece prv fill and test.luvly jubbly! :lol:

Quality boiler by the way,ive had an issue wiv the water valve sticking in hw mode situated at bottom of boiler.this will keep servo valve actuated for hw and may overheat.tbh faults with these cos there fairly complicated really needs an rgi there 2 see wots happening :)

bg use them so they dont have 2 replace the plate h-exchanger....more costly to the company,and then advise to them they need a powerflush.which will solve problem.their not just gonna change a plate every year cos systems full off muck....

when u said u changed diverter,did u change wax capsule as well???

its not worth white van man getting 1,the only reason bg got one cos in the long run its cheaper than replacing £100+ plates and sxi h-exchangers

and no contractor has ever gone to and elderley person and took advantage!!dont talk out yer back side,ive been at bg and work on own,ive seen both worlds and it happens everywhere not just at bg

i cant see what the problem is if they come from taxi drivers etc?????soebodys got to come from somewhere??whether its school leaver or from somwhere else,like said before u fit ideal boilers,enuff said :D

Sonic machine costs £1600 + chemicals,they do a plate/plate really well and the gloworm sxi h-exchangers

Powercleanse is naff,bang the flush on for an hour and thats it,chuck fernox in,sonic clean works well tho so im told

Ill give u a hand 2 take boiler off wall and change iso valves,pass on the divvy valve tho :lol:

The boiler will still fire for heating but will go off after short while cos wax capsule is not opening up heating circuit.its a common fault on a puma like the p.c.b burning out :)

Sounds 2 me like the wax capsule in the diverter valve is getting stuck in hw mode,make sure theres no dripping taps etc,straight forward job 2 change wax capsule :D
