    Rads as we know them, mainly "convect" heat. Circulating warm air from floor to ceiling and creating convection currents. Radiant heat is infrared and warms the body in a different process. Most washrooms I do nowdays have UFH for primary heat source and towel rails to keep towels warm...

    Long topic. Look it up. Even radiators don't solely radiate heat. Towel rads primary function is to warm towels. So... Not a room's primary heat source, hence... These exist...

    Get hawk white then you can use it on potable joints too. Or locktite 55 because it has a jointing compound within it.

    Did he do the panelling? That's likely what dented the pipe for the shower too!

    Wrap the olive and push it back into the nut with a small flat head... As said... Like packing a stuffing gland! Locktite 55 would be what I'd use on that!

    Don't think it's necessary mate. Ptfe should sort that easily... Christ the number of mullered rad tails that have been graunched to death... Tape sorts it every time x

    Add some paste too! It only needs to stop leaking. Don't strangle it to death. Tape and paste fills a lot of tiny gaps.

    Ptfe around the "olive" to fatten it up! Not around the male threads of the compression fitting which is the mistake all diyers seem to make!
