    this is not a sludge problem . check ballvalve in the big tank in loft is filling the tank , then clear the air lock like the plumber did

    make sure the heating is turned OFF when bleeding the rads . some rads will sometimes suck air in when pump is running , a common mistake to think the pump needs to be running to push the air out .

    hi, drain tank leave compression nut connected slacken lock nut a few turn wrap plenty of ptfe tape round the back it will compress into a washer when tightened up , job done .cheers.

    hi are you saying theres no water out the hot tap if so its probably main feed to the boiler frozen does it pass through the loft or somewhere else cold and draughty or if your get cold water out hot tap then probably needs new diaphragm or pin sticking in presure diff valve as already said ...

    ok what i meant was with setting on timer .if you turn the clock dial with your hand clockwise it will simulate the passing of time so in a few secs you can see if the clock is switching the boiler on when it passes 5.30 + 8.00
