    Shaver socket fault

    Socket has stopped working. Replaced fuse and socket. Still doesn’t work. Tested cable going to the shaver socket but nothing coming in. What could this be? Or what would you do to fault find?

    Ok fab, thanks. Sorry but how to I check if control panel is giving out 13.8v? I would contact the company that fitted the alarm to replace battery, but going by what you have said they don’t seem to know themselves

    Thank you. I will take a visit to toolstation tomorrow. When Iv googled it says there’s two types of batteries. One for the panels memory and clock. The other for entire alarm and outside siren. Reason I thought battery was dead - when electric cuts out the alarm bell would sound.

    My house alarm battery needs replacing. Says risco group and eurosec when I open alarm up. Where can I find the right battery? Can’t see anything on their website.

    Hi all, One of my kitchen sockets stopped working. I checked it with a socket tester and it showed a “live/earth reverse” fault. I pulled the socket face off and noticed that one of the earths had popped out – the side that had 2 earth cables. This is what I have: 4 live brown wires into one...

    used the wago to clip in the cables so I can connect a flex cable to the led light

    So Iv changed the rose light to led. All went well. However, Iv been informed that I should put the wago connectors in a junction box before putting back in ceiling. Is that correct?
