A Tridonic PC 1x26W BASIC will run a 28w 2D lamp, which is the lamp you should have fitted. Any other wattage is either going to kill the ballast or lamp prematurely. There is no point changing to LED from T5 HF IMHO.

You've either taken the permanent live from the light instead of switched, or if you haven't adjusted the timer, these are set to 15 minutes from the factory which is quite long. Does the fan come on with the light, or does it start up as soon as power is restored?

Many thanks. The gas goes to the boiler only, and is only a short run of about 2 metres from the isolator valve outside. It's worth mentioning this pipework is only 15mm which I'm lead to believe is on the small side, but it's never been an issue before so can't think it's suddenly an issue now...
