    boiler cycling

I have been checking some more and found that the boiler was set to low so I tried setting it to its highest possible (without new jets) which is 42.5kw. This makes it cycle even quicker about 1 min on and 1 min off ! I wish i could work out what this means but I am baffled ! :oops...

    boiler cycling

I have a 2 year old Grant vortex 35 (i think) which seems to come on and off a lot. I have just been timing it at exactly 1.5 mins on and 1.5 min on. The house is up to temperature at the moment I don't know what it does when the house is cold. I just wondered if you think this is normal...

Radiators in a ground scource heat pump heating system?

Getting back to rads :D at the moment I have a "Normal" sort of pragramme - on from 6am till 11am then 4:40pm till 10pm. In the heat pump (as I understand it) you more or less leave it always on? would that fact negate the need for larger rads at all? In my little head it seems...

Radiators in a ground scource heat pump heating system?

Thanks The guys that quoted said that as I needed 18KW it would be hard to supply a suitable GSHP whereas two 9kw ASHPs would be "just as good" and cheaper ?? Are they BSing me then? I have the area to install Ground scource. Mmike

Radiators in a ground scource heat pump heating system?

Thank You for your advice. The property is a large 1990's converted barn with mainly good brick / block insulated walls or stone and two block walls cavity filled. The loft is 175mm insulation. the only bits which are poor are some old stone walls which are either not parts of the house used...

Radiators in a ground scource heat pump heating system?

Hi there I have been looking into a Ground or air scource heat pump heating system. My house has fairly undersized rads in my opinion as when the weather is cold we have a hard time keeping warm even though the boiler is oversized. So I have been told by "salesmen" that normally rads...

    Corner radiators?

Hi I have been googling around for an L shaped sensibly priced radiator to maximise the little space I have in my Kitchen for a rad. All I can find are fancy curved "designer" rads at fairly ridiculous Prices. Does anyone know anywhere where I might find some? Please Thank you Mike
