    Stains on Solid Wood Worktops

Can anyone offer any advice on how to clean stains from a Solid Wood worktop? Also, would it be advisable to apply a sealant of some sort to prevent future staining? I appreciate they are supposed to be a natural Wood finish but I am really regretting Buying these. Having them replaced is not an...

    Toilet has resumed Leaking again!

Is my suggestion of removing the Toilet to outside positioned so we can see the underneath properly, and putting some water in to see where it's coming from a good idea or not?

    Toilet has resumed Leaking again!

Thanks, yes I do have a bottom fill but that is on the opposite corner to the bolts and the wetness is on the side where the bolts are. If it was the filling pipe I would expect the water to run from that point and down the pipe to the floor, but it's not. Funnily enough I did suggest a possible...

Hi Everyone, well this morning the new tissue paper I laid last night before I went to bed is wet so my extra turns on the nuts did not work.

Thanks, just done that, they were quite tight, only needed maybe quarter of a turn. I'll let you know in awhile if it does the trick.

    Toilet has resumed Leaking again!

Thank you both. Regarding condensation as I have hardly used the Bathroom (about 4 times in last two weeks as I went away twice), I can't see that being the issue. Because of continued leak under the Bath I pop to my nephew up the road for a shower. I will see if I can tighten the bolts on the...

    Toilet has resumed Leaking again!

Hi, Back again I'm afraid. Following 3 previous return visits the plumber came and this time changed the warped Donut Seal for a Rubber one. Everything has been OK for two weeks but now there is water under the Cistern again. Do you think there could be a problem with the Bolt fittings? Would it...

    Dirt into Drain Prevention?

No, there isn't a grid at the top, just the standard black plastic cover which is split anyway (inherited when I moved in). If I do as you suggest then the dirt etc will go down into the Drain and possibley clog that up in the future?

    Dirt into Drain Prevention?

My outside Drain gets lots of Dirt clogging it up. It is on a slight downward slope. The Drain cover does not fit properly and has had to be cut because of the two pipes. I'm thinking of very fine mesh fitted somehow?

    Underfloor Leak in Bathroom

Hello Andy, You were spot on!!!! Trouble now is I do not know if it's the Flexi hose itself or the seal. Getting someone in to change the seal only then to find out it's the flexi pipe is going to end up costing me more than the Toilet! So p****d off, after the Bathroom was done I called them...

    Underfloor Leak in Bathroom

Good news is that it looks like the problem has been found, the end of the waste pipe from the Sink, going into the access panel was not attached/secure. Now done I'm hoping the floor will dry out.

    Underfloor Leak in Bathroom

Thanks Andy I will bear that suggestion in mind as I have to get it delivered. The water is definitely pooling under the floor (not on top) and my waste pipe is visible going into an access panel. All visible pipes and connections above ground are dry.
