    Slow loading camera

If that door camera is the one shown as 720p, than changing the tplinks from 600 to 1000 will not make any difference. Neither will reach their theoretical speed due to loss and noise on the mains, but they should both still be capable of carrying that relatively slow signal. Your suggestion...

    Hikvision not detecting camera

What I do is first a hard reset that will bring the address back to 192.168.1.64. My network is on 192.168.1.xx so I can connect the camera and open it with a browser. Then set a static IP in the NVR's range. The professionals here will probably have other ideas, but this works for me.

    Hikvision not detecting camera

I recognise your problem :) As I often move cameras about on our systems to adjust their coverage, I have come across it a few times. And resetting the camera doesn't always seem to work. The camera has been locked to the NVR's setting of IP address and password. The answer I found was to...

    Configuring IVMS-4200 for live view

If you have previously set up a view 'Garage Cam', it will save that view name even though there is no camera connected to the network. You have presumably saved that view for an installed camera with its IP address. If the camera's ethernet is connected directly to your PC and not the...

    Configuring IVMS-4200 for live view

Yes. You can't see the camera's ethernet directly from the laptop because its address is not being set by DHCP. That is done by the router.

    CCTV Cameras/Understand Connections

If the recorder or other device you are connecting the camera to is capable of POE, you will only need the ethernet cable. If it isn't then you will need a separate 12v supply to that connector OR use a POE injector. That assumes that the camera itself is capable of POE operation - something...

    Installing a Security Camera

Depending on the age of the house, some soffit boards are asbestos sheet and best not drilled. Post 1970's should be safe.

    18 IP cameras lagging - CAT5E??

Depends on so many variables that I wouldn't want to speculate. Probably only single figures. Also I'd want a better AP than TPlink. I use Draytek for preference.

    18 IP cameras lagging - CAT5E??

Well, you COULD replace every part in turn until you hit the jackpot, but that doesn't seem to be a logical way to proceed. Most of the network should be capable of carrying the video streams, certainly the cables will be adequate unless damaged. The 100Mb switch could carry 20 cameras at 5 Mb...

    18 IP cameras lagging - CAT5E??

I was going from your first post "We have cat5e cable coming from the main office to 1 tp link which is receiving all 18 cameras." Are the arrows on your diagram all wireless, including the ones into the central office?

    18 IP cameras lagging - CAT5E??

The CAT 5a cables are good for 1Gb, unless damaged. The 100Mb switch should be adequate too. How many camers are they altogether? You mentioned 18 into one AP and then 3 more. I'm still learning towards the AP being overloaded by 18 camera links. I've done a lot of work with WiFi but not seen...

    18 IP cameras lagging - CAT5E??

Even better, if you have a spare router you could connect it at that point and test all the camera links running. That would eliminate all the downstream links.

    18 IP cameras lagging - CAT5E??

Yes. But the AP is still receiving all 18 streams. It doesn't know whether you are looking at one channel on its output or all of them. You are not affecting the wireless paths at all. Switch to several of them in turn. Difficult to say how many links the AP can receive. It will depend on a...

    18 IP cameras lagging - CAT5E??

Cat 5e is perfectly adequate for those speeds unless it's an extremely long run. 18 cameras is a lot to be received by one access point, even if the nominal bitrate is not exceeded. It will be working hard to keep all the paths in sync. Can you temporarily connect the NVR directly to the AP...

Night vision on Hikvision dome camera not working

If it's indoors, can you have a light on at night? An LED lamp uses very little power, and you'll get far more useful pictures in colour than the ones you get from IR.

What Hikvision cameras are people going for?

Mine all record at 20fps, including 8k cameras. They are fixed at daytime mode as there is sufficient artificial lighting.

Night vision on Hikvision dome camera not working

Even if the factory settings hasn't fixed it, just take a moment looking into the camera settings where you'll find the Day/Night setting. Just make sure it hasn't latched up at the Day setting, which means the infra-red is switched off. It should be set to Auto.
