thanks for your help it is a gravity system just going to try and bleed the pump any more suggestions please last time i had someone in it was £375 for an hours work!!

i am trying to bleed a pump it is in a nightmare position, i can just about get my hand round the pipes but the screw seems jammed are they normally really tight and what is the best tool, tried a knife!! also do you bleed it with the system on or off thanks

I thought my pump was not working properly but have just realised although radiators are cold the pipes to them are hot! surely there is a simple solution, im getting hypothermia!

thanks a lot for your reply the pump is working but downstairs rads luke warm, i can hear water going through the pump and can turn the flow up and down so working but i dont know how well pipes in the way of the disc i need to turn! I suspect the pump as heating has been on and off for a...

hi how do you bleed a pump i can see a large round disc about the size of a 5p coin, but not sure if it is this that i need to turn, it would be hard to get to it if it is!! how long do pumps last, mine has got 1989 written on it! are they costly to replace - bit near xmas!! thanks

hi should you be able to hear the water running through a pump as you can with mine and the downstairs radiators are cold thankyou for your help

hi my upstairs rads are working ok but downstairs are all cold ive turned the upstairs ones off but this doesnt help sometimes the pipes leading to each rad gets hot but not the rad itself, please help im froze
