    Garden Hose Nozzle Recommendation...

I've found the Wickes one to be ok. Anything left outside over winter will deteriorate but in spring do a bit of maintenance and clean them up and either replace the o-rings or use some silicone grease on them

Top of bedroom chimney breast plaster is slightly damp

Damp is a curious thing. The unused flue should be vented for airflow throughout, so top and bottom. I'd be thinking a covered top and a vent where the fireplace was. If that wall is external then the vent can go on the outside wall

Rear access above ground level - permitted development? Photos !

PD not applicable as the house has already been extended. For such small work I'd be inclined to just do it

    Repairing the Highway

Balls to legal. Roads are in a right state so I doubt your tiny repair will just be one of many. I use a lump hammer to ramp it down, sometimes whacking a wooden block

    Repairing the Highway

Needs to be a certain minimum temp for cold lay but I've always found it works fine, certainly on light traffic roads anyway. Given it's a council they'll probably bill you for vandalism lol

    Custom kitchen

You mean making your own cabinets? If so then make some practice ones after watching a lot of YouTube videos. If not then plug your design into the diykitchens design tool and use them. Much easier!

    Cheap dust extraction unit

Great info, thanks. As it's only very light use I can also open up the garage door and or wear a mask if I feel the need.

    Mystery water damage/damp in bedroom

How easy is that? Looks like carpet so shouldn't be too hard but is there any water source there? What's the state of the utility floor? Just wondering if the dog shower is leaking and somehow tracking under the floor covering to the wall
