Drywall adhesive and rapid set have roughly the same drying times, I personally wouldn’t use drywall adhesive, I’d use flexible rapid set, I’ve installed well over 200 trays with rapid set and had no problems

I would check that inside and outside stop cocks/water meters are fully open

From the pictures, I’d take the toilet out and have a look into the 4 inch and you’ll find your problem, probably pee, poo and paper

Take the tray out, remove the mortar, ply the area where the tray is going and use rapidset to stick the tray to the ply

Only fitted a few Worcester’s but from memory your meant to fit shock arrestors on Worcester combis, shock arrestor should be fitted on the cold to the boiler

I’ve never used Mapei, but it’s quality brand, so I’d assume it will be good enough I do sometimes put adhesive around the edges, depending on how far out the floor is
