Given that the cable in a ring final is only required to carry 20A, it is not clear why a connection in that cable should be required to carry more than that.

The only mention of flow rate I can see is "≥ 9 L/min". If it were me (and I know nothing about such filters), I would at least measure the current flow rate (measuring jug vs timer on your phone). Then you could justifiably turn it up to at least the number in the spec.
