    Moving Pipes Undersink

Brilliant, thanks. So in terms of the copper pipe, remove the current valve on there at the bottom, cut the pipe further up and replace it there. Then put the new washing machine valve in the place where the previous valve was lower down?

    Moving Pipes Undersink

Perfect, thanks! Do you think from looking at the traps I currently have that it's necessary to replace them too (picture attached), given that one already has a spigot? Would it be feasible to use a double trap with spigot to cover both (currently separate), or would I be better off getting...

    Moving Pipes Undersink

Lovely, thanks! Would you say the two 45's shown would be suitable to put together to reduce, or would you recommend a 45 joint & 45 conversion joint?

    Moving Pipes Undersink

Thanks again for the detailed reply. I've had another look at it and also had a plumber come over to estimate the cost if I feel this is not something I'm able to do. They've suggested that they could push it back with two well-angled 45's, or perhaps one 45 and one conversion bend 45 (but...

    Moving Pipes Undersink

Ah that's interesting, thank you for letting me know. Do you have any views on how much of that beam could I cut through without it being an issue to its support function of stopping the unit being pulled forward? Having re-looked, if the pipe went in a straight line it might just clip the...

    Moving Pipes Undersink

Perfect, thanks very much! I think I am just trying to get the waste pipe as flush back as I can, without doing too much work to the back. The copper pipe (as far as I see) doesn't appear to be in the way too much. However, the wooden support beam is. Do you have any views on how I could...

    Moving Pipes Undersink

Hello I had posted a little while ago, but was hoping for a little more guidance! I am looking to install a slimline dishwasher (integrated) into a cupboard in my kitchen. The depth of the dishwasher is 550mm and the depth of my cupboard is larger than this. The issue, however, is that the...

    Dishwasher Installation Room Issues

Hi all I'm planning on doing this soon. Just wondering whether anyone could tell me if this piping is suitable or not? https://charterhouse-aquatics.com/shop/aquatics/fittings/s-bends/40mm-s-bend Thanks!

    Dishwasher Installation Room Issues

Thanks for the advice regarding the push fit. My current idea is to get two of these 45 degree angle pipes joins (see hyperlink) and 3m of 40mm pipe, alongside some couplers. I'd then replace the 90 degree angle pipes with the 45 degree (coupler in-between) in the hope that it'd reduce how much...

    Dishwasher Installation Room Issues

Thanks all for the responses. I don't believe it leads to anything outside, so I'd imagine it is a gas supply feed. I'll get a picture later in terms of the waste pipe exit. However, all I really need to do is move it back 4-5cm, which would not actually reach the copper pipe. Therefore, I...

    Dishwasher Installation Room Issues

Ah yeah, I see what you mean. By pulling it out and starting again, do you mean the whole kitchen counter unit? As that would obviously be pretty expensive for just installing a dishwasher! If I weren't to do that, do you have any ideas on how I might adapt my current situation to reduce the...

    Dishwasher Installation Room Issues

Unfortunately, I think there's a wood block that's in the way (can just be seen in the left side of the picture) that might stop it going straight across. Do you happen to know of slim joins exist? Or should I be looking for something else? If you know the kind of thing I should be looking for...

    Dishwasher Installation Room Issues

Yes indeed it is! Would you say that pushing the whole thing back by getting 'slimmer' pipe joins as such, to decrease how much they come into the cupboard is the best way to go?

    Dishwasher Installation Room Issues

Hello I am looking to install a slimline dishwasher (integrated) into a cupboard in my kitchen. The depth of it is 550mm and the depth of my cupboard is larger than this. The issue, however, is that the pipe which leads to the sink (next door cupboard) comes out quite a bit, decreasing the...

    Radiator Valve Switch

Swapping it to the other side seems to have worked. Thanks again for your help with all this!

    Radiator Valve Switch

I thought so too, however, it doesn't seem to be doing that! Do you have any views on why that might be / how I can fix it? The pin is a little stiff on the TRV side, but nothing crazy. Given they both have pins, might it be worth switching the TRV to the other side, in case that makes any...

    Radiator Valve Switch

That's what I thought! I probably didn't explain it well, so I've attached a picture of both valves of the towel radiator. One is with the cap on and one off.

    Radiator Valve Switch

It is currently left open, however, when it is left open, the radiator seemingly heats up whenever the CH turns on (for other radiators).

    Radiator Valve Switch

I've attached pictures of the valve (it's the same the other side, which currently has a smart TRV attached). This side has a screw on cover. If I tighten it fully, it stops any heat (presumably because it is pressing the pin in), which the other side (currently with the TRV) has too.

    Radiator Valve Switch

Yes indeed, thanks for the information! I've changed it over and all has gone well. However, I just tested it and turned on only that radiator via the app... I've then gone and checked the other rooms to see if are off as they should be, to find that the towel radiator had come on (when it...
