Thanks. I've put it all back together again and am now just using the light as on and off (never really used the dimmer anyway!) Just a bit of a pain having to turn it on/off at the mains but something I'm sure I'll live with. Cheers all.

I've got a simple light in the loft at the moment but it's just not good enough. Would it be a fairly simple job replacing this with a fluorescent strip light? Ie just install the strip light and extend the existing wiring? Thanks!

Hi, The people who look after my lawn have informed me that my aertion/scarification is due in early december. I was always under the impression this needed to be done in the spring?? The last one was done in March this year! Any info appreciated. Simon

Boiler has been fine for six-ish years since I've lived here but I've woken up in the morning to the pilot light being out 5 or 6 times in the last fortnight. It re-lights easy enough but guessing something is wrong. Any ideas? Thanks!
