    Multipoint inside door lock change

Sorry, I'm having a slightly hard time getting your meaning. If you replace the entire locking mechanism including gearbox, I imagine most new versions will have the behaviour where the key retracts the side latch. I don't believe there will be any possibility of a non-rotating handle allowing...

    Multipoint inside door lock change

First things first: have you actually checked that the key of the inner door is able to make the latch retract? (Or do you mean you are going to replace the entire locking mechanism?)

    Cracked waste elbows

Does seem odd. Maybe they were manhandled into position in the first place and the problem has only just manifested itself after a lot of expansion and contraction?

Outside drain gets blocked, not enough space/gravity to clear

I would speak to neighbours to see if what he says about the estate is true. Seems unlikely anyone would move into a new house and just accept that the drains didn't work, but admittedly the flush would have used a lot more water back then.

    Flexi hose replacement

I think you're on the right track with the spanner Since you're replacing it you could always just cut it so you're not working at that awkward angle but maybe wrap some tape around the bit you cut

    Gas (and electricity) meters

I suppose you could turn off the boiler and see how many units it takes the hob to bring a known quantity of water of known starting temperature to the boil. Then you could either perform a calculation based on some assumptions about efficiency or you could compare with the identical experiment...

    Insulating an External Wall

Is there really any point? Seems like a lot of effort for a negligible improvement in energy efficiency given the proportion of the wall occupied by the door. You've got all your coats hanging up there looking untidy anyway so why not just reinstate the porch?

    Solignum Architectural "Jacobean" shade advice

Ordinarily I would say I always regret buying the cheaper paint but I've never had any problems with Zinsser! Best of luck.

    Knocking a wall through

Obviously if you put the right support in you can do basically anything. Very hard to know from your description and photo exactly what you want to do and how expensive it is likely to be All I can say with confidence is it's either going to be a very narrow opening or have severely limited...

Best thing to treat fence posts then paint ontop?

Do you live near a fencing or agricultural supply shop? They'll probably have the PostSaver wraps (bitumen) which is my recommendation. I imagine almost any paint you buy will say "unsuitable for use in direct contact with the ground".

    Where to fit spigot?

Ideally one of these into existing tee then straight up to normal compression elbow pointed straight at trap outlet. Trouble is getting that 'street elbow' without waiting for delivery

Well yes but isn't everything

    New front door....insulated?

I see composite front doors all over the place looking nasty and faded and you can't paint them easily, and you're sort of lumbered with them once you've 'upgraded a thermal element'. Is the existing door actually rotten? Is there any space for an external porch?

UPvc windows painting or replace new?

Well, here's my thoughts: Are the old windows in good order? UPVC doesn't always last very long. Will you benefit from the improved soundproofing of more modern windows? Will you be able to achieve a decent match of the frame profiles, ignoring the colour? Will you be able to match the...

Best thing to treat fence posts then paint ontop?

I wouldn't use motor oil, it will contaminate the ground and is probably illegal. I used those PostSaver things on my gazebo posts but can't really comment on durability as it was only 2 years ago

    Where to fit spigot?

I am a bit confused as to what you mean about it being too long. As I'm sure you're aware those S traps are technically undesirable due to risk of siphoning dry, and that's possibly more of a risk with an appliance outlet than the sink. Here's what I would do but I'm sure someone will laugh
