Thanks it makes sense yes, but depending on which is switched live, cos I assume the red is permanent live?

I need help wiring a ceiling rose can anyone help? It's in a lounge that has two switches. There are 3 black wires and one red(see foto). My partner removed the old one and didn't take a foto of it before. All help appreciated
