Ah, I see. I appear to have a rather highly sophisticated system ....with freeze control built in too. But which of these do I turn to holiday mode when I go away? All three?

    Holiday mode

My central heating system has two Honeywell thermostats (ground and upper floors) and a Honeywell control box in the airing cupboard on the first floor that controls the unvented water cylinder. All have a "holiday" button, which, if I've read the bumph correctly, makes them drop to 10° for the...

I cannot believe in these days of obesity and curries that small loos are designed.

    Number twos

I think that the design is so narrow that the larger Richards have trouble doing a quick rotation and half-nelson to get around the bend and out to the sewer. Are the anchor points that fit the toilets to the floor the same for all toilets though?

Thanks for that ....but I am bit worried that the bowl is rather thin and won't let much pass through it and the S bend. Is there a standard fixing (base of toilet to the floor) for toilets, as I'm thinking of getting a plumber in the fix a toilet with a wider girth so that Richards can pass...

    Number twos

In my six year old Linden-built house there are two toilets on the first floor and a small one on the ground floor near the front door. With regard to the ground floor one (see photo), at water level it is only about four inches from side to side and the water is only about three inches deep...

    Hotter water wanted from cylinder

My newish shower is as good as behind the water cylinder, but in a different room obviously, yet the control needs to be turned to its farthest (hottest) setting for the water to be acceptably warm. I've attached a photo of the boiler.... although the accompanying book suggests that turning the...

    Hotter water wanted from cylinder

Wow...these systems are complex and smart. One last question.....where on the cylinder is the thermostat ....as I can't see one??!!

    Boiler question

Thanks. I'm told too that when the setting reads 6am-8am, the 6am is not the time the boiler starts heating the radiators, but that the boiler comes on earlier to ensure that between 6am-8am the radiators are at the requested temperature. Quite amazing.
