I have an intermittent lock out with one of these at the moment, after I reset it it'll run all day while I'm there. Go away for a few days and it locks out. The control box make a clicking noise and shuts burner down then either fires back up or locks out, one reset two three times the clicking...

Baxi platinum, 10year warranty..

I'd go witth baxi, the duotec/platinums are good value and reliable. Ideal logic/ vouge are nice. If budgets tight, Main, potterton. There are a lot of boilers from baxi that are basically duotecs rebadged. Wouldn't bother with the expense of a Vaillant or the likes of plastic fantasic...

Check whether your drains are separate or not. If your rain water runs into the main sewer then you can use that for the kitchen waste. I would say they are judging the age of the house. stick a running hose at the bottom of the down pipe, lift the main sewer lid and see if the water runs into...

If you want fernox, buy center brand. It's rebadged fernox :D

BG WILL sell you a new boiler if they can. Countless customers have told me this now, many of them are also leaving theirs contracts with BG coz they do f all! (from what I have seen)

No flap on the case, only the logic+ has a flap, no flex included no filling loop and with the logics and logic+ you get a nifty piece of tube with a termination doo da for the PRV. Apart from that it's the same boiler

Maybe priming the walls??

Maybe the washing machine is connected to the hot water pipe. When you had a cylinder you may not have noticed the hot water being used whilst the machine was running. Now however as soon as the machine draws water the combi senses a demand and fires up?

Day rate £200, or if you want a price fine. I don't haggle and won't knock anything off for cash. If a customer wants to get money off I can usually do something with the price, inferior materials will be where the saving comes from, not my labour. £200 a day is fair :D
