WC Soil Piping needs sorting :-(

Any opinions? Going across the garage floor kinda worked out. 50mm AAV near fan hole for future access. Strap on for sink and shower waste in garage room. Before you knock it - ensure you was there for me in my time of need

WC Soil Piping needs sorting :-(

Thanks. They didn't mention that in the promo vid. If a 50 mm AAV is installed, it gives the option to use HepVo waterless traps or standard water traps. HepVo traps could work well on the sinks, since access is easy, but the shower drain may be more awkward to fit and harder to maintain — so...

Added the worse case plan to run the 110mm pipe straight across... Revised Plan for New Shower and WC Room Installation 1. Air Admittance Valve (AAV) ○ A 50mm AAV has been indicated as sufficient for ventilation and can be installed behind the new shower stud wall. ○ The stud wall will...

Wish it was. Need a solid plan - will also inform materials needed, only have 1-2 day with resources onsite to make it happen (hence the Anal-retentive planning). I see some things need revision so will post up new plan...

WC Soil Piping needs sorting :-(

Yes can see how it would be same as a boss connection. I just guess any smaller pipe coming out would always have to go upwards to prevent any soil water going into it. HepVO behind the WC? - would consider it with a bit more info if solves the issues. Yes, "Fix it and see" - would make sense...

WC Soil Piping needs sorting :-(

So the 50mm waste branches can be stap-on connected to the side of the 110mm soil pipe? Doesn't that risk waste getting caught-up on the entry to the 50mm piping, or any bad 50mm-110m connections leaking if the flush water is going past?- whereas if the strap on was at the top - it wouldn't...

Adjustable Bends (Screwfix item 77224 - Floplast Push-Fit 0−90. Concern is that these are undesirable for installation under a stud floor due to possibility of leaking. I think the thin seals in adjustable fittings are prone to fouling, losing elasticity, and leaking from slight movement. Since...

WC Soil Piping needs sorting :-(

Thanks. I think I can see what you mean... But... -It does depend if a 45 angle would land somewhere near the WC soil outlet - maybe? -There would be more than the normal soil pipe fall - unsure if thats an issue? -Need wastes for shower room sink/shower & WC sink - looks a bit more awkward...

WC Soil Piping needs sorting :-(

Hi, yes - will try figuring out the connections you suggested. Could you let me know in principle, if the below setups are okay? (1) The AAV does not have to be attached at the start of the Flush to get air in behind the flush? It will work further away from the flush? (in below example the...

WC Soil Piping needs sorting :-(

Hi ...any chance it can be stated less technically for us simple folk over here?? Are you saying, something like this going to be at the main junction?... Because there obvious issues with the necessity of the stub stack going straight up... As I do not want to move the WC anymore...

OK - will see what can be done. How would the plumbing work to the stub stack? Where would it branch off and how? Have a link to any plumbing parts that would do the branching? Thnks.

WC Soil Piping needs sorting :-(

Thanks. I think you mentioned a 50mm AAV stub stack behind the WC? If we had to stick to the current WC, the below kind of arrangement is the way to go...? Is a AAV stub along the 110mm pipe just not as effective? That option would mean we don't have to disturb the stud wall currently...

WC Soil Piping needs sorting :-(

....Probably, but don't know what I don't know. Would really help to know if the below 50mm AAV design is ok in principle? -Does the AAV need to be behind the WC at the start of the water inlet to prevent the vacuum from following the water? -Or can the AAV be close to the flush (0.5m away)...

WC Soil Piping needs sorting :-(

Hi - lower bend has been there for 40yrs with a WC sitting on top - and no blocks - but I suppose it hasn't had 3 additional wastes (2 sinks and shower) going through it - would that make a difference? Was thinking of putting a maintenance access hatch in the stud floor to get to the shower...

Outline plan below... -In new shower room the current 110mm pipe would be lowered to the garage floor -New stud floor flush with the house floor will be put in with shower tray on top -Will dig up WC room quarry floor and run 110mm pipe up to the WC -50mm AAV stub stack fitted behind a...

WC Soil Piping needs sorting :-(

Hi, really like your idea (like below pic). But would probs have to throw away the current Wickes Portland reliable WC and then the gubbins to the WC would not be as accessible should there be future leaks. If time and budget permits after the soil piping and shower work - then maybe. Appreciate...

WC Soil Piping needs sorting :-(

Thanks. Yes, agree the anti-vacs might be fine, but we have to lower the stack in the garage (so the shower does not have a huge pedestal) - hence whilst faff'ing with the soil pipe, may as well get an AAV in (putting it in after would be real hassle). Will reply to your great idea as well...

Thanks. 50mm or 110mm AAV then. I understand that it should be... "at least 200 mm above the highest overflow level of appliances on the soil pipe, usually at the top of the vertical stack, vertically oriented, and in an accessible, ventilated location." Does that mean it "has" to be at the...

WC Soil Piping needs sorting :-(

Thanks. Your re-post is about digging the pipe - its not work-shirking its about risk reduction. We've established by looking through the manhole that the pipe is plastic and it has been dug up already to be inspected. The question at the moment is should an AAV be fitted when working on the...
