Bonus points available to anybody who can help identify the roof tiles for a replacement. I've a partial marking, but I've not got very far. Any ideas?

To save doing yet another thread for this house, will continue on here... So the area of damp on the wall I think is due to the tiles (and/or guttering) on the main roof. From the ground it looks like the guttering stops short, which then is allowing rain to flow off the roof, down the outside...

Given the questionable quality of the work, lack of sockets & rings etc - if we do go head I think we'll just have it all rewired again and done properly! Plenty of sockets, dedicated rings and new consumer unit too.

I wasn’t very clear there, what I meant was everything on that ‘kitchen’ ring is new, as that whole room was not there pre 2015.

It's all "new" as the kitchen wiring is all for the new (at the time) extension.

Fantastic news as the same chap installed the boiler at the same time. :cry: Even less reason not to have a dedicated ring for the boiler. What's my remedy here? Could I get somebody in to retest... and how bad (expensive!) could whatever was missed be? This all annoys me massively. The garden...

Well I'm going to honest, I have no clue what you two are talking about! o_O However, what I think I do get is basically the test results are essentially an impossibility, therefore faked? Something worth taking up with NICEIC?

Is the 'points served' literally the number of sockets on that ring? In the kitchen there is 4 double sockets above the counter. There is a double under the sink (well there is one there now, I'm assuming it's original given the fridge/dishwasher gap). Oven has to plug into something, as does...

Thanks all for the replies and advise. Today I've received a 'Electrical Installation Certificate'. It's issued 30/07/2015 by a local outfit who are NICEIC, and the stated works are 'Full Rewire'. Should there also be a certificate from the council / building control? Not sure if this means...

If that was aimed at me, then was only trying to ‘see’ the problem. Think OP is out of luck anyway, despite the obvious annoyance of the potential neighbour. Building control and planning have no remit as a conservatory, and we presume the structure itself is not unsafe. Legally I can’t see...
