2 x showers plus electric oven

So I need take issue with the bloke I paid to put it in then? He assured me it wouldn’t be a problem once I sort the water pressure as they “never run full rate” and “diversity etc blah” I wasn’t convinced and looks like I was right Hot water is Worcester Bosch condenser boiler to a gravity fed...

2 x showers plus electric oven

3KW??? Might aswell Just stick a 13amp breaker on each one? :sneaky::sneaky: Joking of course ... I get the point but realistically if I can get a total of 100amp supply then I wouldn't need them right?

2 x showers plus electric oven

Thanks ... we've had both in the past and as the wife does most of the cooking I need to take her comments on board. In honesty we might not have much choice if Western Power decide we can't have a bigger fuse than 60amp.

2 x showers plus electric oven

The good lady says that the current range gas hob is a mare to clean and wants a wipe clean .... dual fuel ones seem to be electric oven and gas hob. I could go with two integrated gas and then a ceramic hob (it doesn’t have to be a range) Ideally I’d want a dual fuel range with a gas over...

2 x showers plus electric oven

Hi folks, We live in a large Victorian property but have recently upgraded the main CU. I have two 8.5kw Electric showers each on their own circuit... the one is on 6mm cable with a 32amp breaker and the other on 10mm cable 40amp. I’m currently planing the kitchen and the wife wants an...

    Low Water Pressure

If I go for a larger tank in the loft then (assuming it's big enough) can this serve a dual purpose of gravity feeding the current hot water tank and also as a reservoir for pumped water to the leccy showers? i.e. will I need two CWTs?

    Low Water Pressure

Thanks for being patient with me on this ... its all very new. In a nutshell you have an unvented HWT and with a cold water accumulator that is charged by a pump (I assume that controller is a bit more intelligent too) The difference here is that if I decide to stick with the two electric...

    Low Water Pressure

I could make space for a full height kitchen unit? Like a fridge freezer housing? the place in mind is also right next to the main drop from the first floor to the ground floor so hooking it up would be less involved? How can I calculate the size I need?

    Low Water Pressure

I don’t like electric showers either but I don’t think I’ll have enough head to run an electric shower from gravity? The tank would only be about 1500 above the shower? 0.15bar? Would have to pump it I guess. Will an Accumulator tank not deal with it?

    Low Water Pressure

I would need to scrap the electric shower I have in the en-suite and probably re-tile too ... aaaww man!! All this on top of a new kitchen

    Low Water Pressure

That’s what I have hot water wise ... sorry but I’m not sure what size it is. The cold water tank above it is aboit 2ft x 3ft x 2ft

    Low Water Pressure

I have three loft voids one of which has already been converted. Still got plenty of space though. Having a cold water storage tank would need to be pumped direct to the shower is that correct? So an isolated feed to the shower? The loft space and plumbing is such that it would be a right...

    Low Water Pressure

The cold water tank is currently in the airing cupboard.... assuming I don’t have room for an unvented tank + accumulator then does the following plan sound feasible. I could put a bigger cold water tank in the loft to increase the gravity fed hot water pressure, and then have a break tank...

    Low Water Pressure

Sounds like i’d still need to have an accumulator on the cold whatever then, the unvented cylinder will only increase the hot water pressure which frankly isn’t really giving us any problems. It could be a little quicker running a bath but no biggy. Doing what he said could actually be...

    Low Water Pressure

Had a plumber out and he's telling me to pressurise the hot feed using an unvented cylinder. Then I can run hot/cold to the shower in the ensuite and leave the shower in the family bathroom on the cold feed only (electric shower until we refurb that again). Thermostatically won't the hot /...
