Best way to increase water pressure to a shower

Not sure about the Power shower - will talk to him about it ... But guess that might disrupt the bathroom more than he wants to - tiles are pretty good, not too dated - wouldn't want to mess with the walls and the shower end is an outside wall (the 2ft thick stone) so can't get in from the...

Best way to increase water pressure to a shower

Thanks... Don't have a figure for the pressure but it is 'good' ...or at least they get a decent flow rate out of the taps ...thought the flow gave an indication of the pressure - can't get a good flow rate without decent pressure???? But I do get confused - will have to get my head round it...

This is for my non internet savvy dad - so if you need more details it may take a little while to find out. Basically system they have is 35 yrs old - header tank in loft and a hot water cylinder in an airing cupboard. Had a new boiler a couple of years ago but was connected to old...

Downlighters - mains to LV - can I use the existing wiring?

I'm in Scotland though - we don't have Part P! (Although there is something else ...not quite the same I believe - but in general I would go by Part P standards) And this lighting (in fact the whole bathroom extension) is covered by a 'letter of comfort' from Building control written in...

Downlighters - mains to LV - can I use the existing wiring?

The lights above the sink could potentially be touched by someone with wet hands - (bathroom is in the eaves so under the sloping roof)...they are about 2 meters high ...ignoring the regulations ! they are actually the ones that I consider the dodgiest anyway... I've been looking to replace...

Downlighters - mains to LV - can I use the existing wiring?

Ok so mains are ok if they have RCD - even in a bathroom? Consumer unit was replaced 5 years ago - so does have RCD protection. (they all have low energy bulbs in - most CFL reflectors but a couple are globe LEDs)

Downlighters - mains to LV - can I use the existing wiring?

I have 6 downlighters fitted in my bathroom - including 2 above a sink which are not as high as 2.2 m. They are mains voltage, not IP rated. I know this is not 'ideal'. The wiring is in the loft. They were in when I moved in 14 yrs ago, covered by a letter of comfort (we are in Scotland) One of...

Bosch Condenser Dryer "Clean Container" (secret flap door)

Yes it is under the condenser...remove the condenser and it is right at the back on the bottom. All you can feel are the tabs to remove it ... I could see mine because I'd taken the sides off so I guess you could always do that if you really can't get to it from the front...good luck!

Armitage shanks close coupled toilet constantly filling

Right I got the diaphragm out...hope these photos are clear enough finding this hard to describe... Two questions - how do I know it is this causing the problem - it is knackered? Seems to be a bit of wear in the rubber around the red disc...would this cause the problem? Cause it to...

Armitage shanks close coupled toilet constantly filling

Sorry this took so long to reply ...took me a while to be able to face taking the photo, uploading etc.. It is definitely the water inlet - water isolated to loo at moment, cistern full and no water running into pan... (filling up cistern with a bucket, if I add too much water and it is...

Armitage shanks 'sandringham' toilet can tell from my previous post on here it is almost exactly 3 yrs old ... Close coupled, push button, bottom fill Suddenly started constantly filling and overflowing into pan. Not a drip it like a tap running - the flow from the inlet isn't slowing down...

Fitting flexible foil duct to kitchen extractor hood...

I've taken the jubilee clip off together and I still can't get it on fully  And I still can't find the foil tape (I know I have some somewhere...) The hole is to the back so I won't reattach at the bottom properly until I've fixed the hole (so I can pull it out a bit to get more space...
