    1993 Eunos MK1 MOT fail

A second hand good condition exhaust would have cost you around £60. Parts are plentiful especially exhausts due to people upgrading. I sold a cat back stainless one for £100 a while ago.

    VW Touran driver footwell wet??

Get someone to run the hosepipe over it while you watch inside. could be anything from a leaky cable grommet to a poorly fitted windscreen.

2010 Audi A3 Tdi cut out and won’t restart

Just to put this to bed I ended up doing the job out of sympathy and went for a recon head. Valves were not too bad to my surprise when spun in a drill but I suspect the cam timing had moved as the drive gears are pressed on so they can move. Not a pleasant job but all is well now.

Golf 2013 2.0 diesel Intermittent Fault

Seems to be related to the crank sensor circuit or the G28 sensor. http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/16706/P0322/000802

Golf 2013 2.0 diesel Intermittent Fault

Some crap can accumulate in the bottom of the filter so I’d personally empty it and clean it out. A code read as suggested would help, common things to watch our for are egr valve and also dpf problems if it’s doing short journeys but no point guessing. Watch out for shiny metal in the fuel...

Best Online Site for Car Selling

Autotrader for me, the £75 until sold option is very good. Maybe Facebook marketplace but if you value your sanity I'd leave well alone. Some of the owners groups on there are very good though.

seat ibiza toca 2015 knocking noise

There is a reset procedure for the flap motors on some Vag cars with climate control, worth googling it to see if it can be done on yours.

2012 Ford C-Max diesel emissions smoke fail

Maybe someone previously has done what's known as a dpf delete and had the ECU software "adjusted" to suit.

    Aftermarket parts brand recommendations.

Took around 7 days last time I ordered. I’ve used them in the past to order a lot of parts at once but have heard some stories about them substituting for another brand if not available without notification which is a bit naughty. Their prices have gone up quite a lot too.

2010 Audi A3 Tdi cut out and won’t restart

Reset the timing and tried it out but sadly you can hear there is no compression so it’s done some valves. Im not going to tackle the job as it’s a nightmare to work on so will decide what to do next. probably spares or repair as the car is only worth £3000 on a good day.

2010 Audi A3 Tdi cut out and won’t restart

I’ve only done a pd engine before that did a similar thing, that was a crank no start. Reset the belt and timing and it was ok so I’m hoping this is similar.

2010 Audi A3 Tdi cut out and won’t restart

The timing belt has obviously jumped a couple of teeth so black smoke isn’t unusual when the timing has slipped. im just hoping it’s not bent any valves.

2010 Audi A3 Tdi cut out and won’t restart

So it looks like a shredded auxiliary belt and a piece found it's way under the belt cover. Further investigating required but fingers crossed!

2010 Audi A3 Tdi cut out and won’t restart

Maybe for boost pressure but not always triggered, they do get noisier as wear develops. hoses detaching as John says are very common, id check those first.

Brasso is supposed to work but as suggested once done it needs clear coating. The meguiars kit is very good but offers no protection afterwards.
