    Surgical wiring SWA through screed

Just be careful with that drill on the floor like that. I guess it's got a clutch, but without a handle for your other hand you need to be especially careful to watch out for if it jams and spins...you could have a risk of slamming your hand into the floor, or spraining you wrist. Not sure...

Blockwork half course & '100mm' blocks

Yep, found one from the ark  Safe to say nearly all wet cutters have a hose attachment. You keep clinging to your notion that your original post is accurate for some vague / remote situation. It’s not at all relevant to the OP’s situation. I’m embarrassed for you.

Blockwork half course & '100mm' blocks

Still going eh? No. I said I’d never seen one. Probably back in the old days before universal/hozelock-style fittings you could buy petrol cutters without one. You were keen to post up examples of electric wet cutters earlier in the thread, please feel free to spending your Sunday searching...

Blockwork half course & '100mm' blocks

Give it up dude. Your original post was not as clear as you seem to think it was. I’ve never seen a disc cutter/cut off saw/grinder that is/was suitable for wet cutting not have a hose attachment. Suggesting wetting blocks directly just leaves a risk that someone could do just that with an...

Slow going - my double storey extension build

Time for a mini update with some progress with the garage build. Been a busy couple of months with a few tips abroad for business and pleasure, and the weekend weather hasn’t often been kind to make progress. I got the rest of the brickwork done with the engineering bricks, which takes me up to...

Blockwork half course & '100mm' blocks

You’ve got to remember mate, this is a DIY forum. Some people won’t know the difference between a cut-off saw and a grinder (not suggesting that’s the case for the OP). Like I said previously, I don’t think you meant to suggest using an unsuitable electric cutter/grinder, but it could be read...

Blockwork half course & '100mm' blocks

While I appreciate it might not have been what you meant, I too read your post as suggesting to add water (onto the blocks) for a not suitable cutter. I would imagine that any cutter suitable for doing wet cuts would have a hose attachment on it…like the two examples you highlighted. I think...

What have you been doing today?

Yesterday I went to my first Berkeley Enthusiasts Club AGM. Unfortunately the poor weather over the weekend deterred a lot of folks from bringing their own cars. I won the award for most original restoration... still work to go with the Berk - needs a proper paint job and a new seat.

    Hot Tub Concrete Base Query

Probably a plastic soffit board will do, as long as you put plenty of wooden steaks behind it for support.

What have you been doing today?

Track day at Oulton Park. Had my first trip in to the gravel as well, got beached and caused a red flag. Car fine, ego severely bruised!

    What have you bought today?

Yes that’s pretty much correct. Shame it didn’t work out for the company, they made some beautiful machines.
