    Adding aerial socket

Thank you all. The project has been canceled. TV signals have come a long way since the last time I contended with them 15-20 years ago. The signals in the area are so strong that I would have gotten something if I stuck my finger into the aerial socket. All mini indoor aerials work. The loft...

    Adding aerial socket

I am curious, what would happen if I did do it? What end-user effects would I see? BTW, it would have worked. Explanation to follow.

    Micra fuel tank leak

If you already know then why do you need me to explain it to you? Don't be wasting my time. This thread is finished, and I have other projects to attend to. So, stop posting.

    Adding aerial socket

Yes, I am already thinking about that for another reason. I want to take out the box and check the surroundings. Then push a rod upwards. I won't care where the rod reappears in the loft. The random path chosen by the rod can then be used for the cable. I have a couple of rod options. I think...

    Adding aerial socket

I could, but I still hope to make it look tidy and "regular". Do I need a box at all? Can I just drill a hole in the ceiling and drop the cable down and connect to the TV directly?

    Adding aerial socket

I will run a test first then I will know if splitting causes problems. Firstly, I could run two cables directly to the aerial. The aerial is in the loft. Secondly, I could just use electrical crimps for the split and then solder - solder to increase conductivity. Are there any regulations...

    Micra fuel tank leak

I never aimed to be, though. I can't stop you thinking it, nor would I try. I don't really think about it. I post to solve practical problems that produces a return on effort. Legend isn't required. But quick and cheap is.

    Adding aerial socket

Thanks. All good tips. 5 years worth of TV is still worth it. It's not for me (I only watch youtube), but for my mother. Not possible to have anything complicated, or I will get support calls frequently. The existing signals are good. It would degrade with a T splitter? In that case, I better...

    Adding aerial socket

I am looking at adding an aerial socket, and haven't the slightest clue how. I would appreciate some tips please. Are there any rules and regulations for this kind of thing? Currently, the aerial cable comes down the loft to the first floor of the house. I need a socket at a similar location on...

    Does that mean it's gas?

    Micra fuel tank leak

Understandable, you are easy to believe in stuff when you cannot feel for stuff. There are other arrangements, one way vales are available for tanks. These are pressure activated and cannot be considered as open holes.

    Micra fuel tank leak

It's under atmospheric pressure. In that case, the liquid is turning into gas as you could see from the earlier video when the wasps were gassed.

More accurately: There are none so blind, as those who cannot see what's inside tank.

Then you are talking blind. That makes you blind.

    Micra fuel tank leak

Yes liquid it is when under pressure. Gas it is when not.

    Micra fuel tank leak

You will have to cut up your tractor tank to see. If I were to deign it, I would have a tube between the breather hole and the bottom of the tank. This reduces the evaporation surface to the cross section of the tube. The result from this thread shows that when the evaporation surface is the...

Vapor is gas. Liquid is gas at ambient temperature and pressure.
