Ventilation for a flat 'cold roof'??

I would assume that some moisture will seep through regardless, especially where wiring penetrates the plasterboard. Ceiling roses aren't airtight. There is also the possibility of leaks which have to be dried out.

    Fuse holder at meter

I was going to say east-west, then I thought that dust won't accumulate in the slots if they're north-south. I'll go round my house next weekend and redo all mine.

    Fuse holder at meter

You can go back and line those lid screws up for starters :) And the left-hand trunking doesn't go up to the ceiling and there's no firestopping around those cables.

New shower to cover old power shower

Yes, but hopefully not the same week as the combi boiler turns up its toes.

    Decorative ceiling rose removal

Disconnect and remove light fittings. Ram a filling knife or similar round the edge and that might be enough to break the seal. It might be screwed to the joist, but mine was just held on with plaster blobs and came off quite easily.

Phone wiring in house, who's responsible? Who can do work on it?

I may be wrong, but I think the grey dropwire is no longer used and the wire is connected to the new black dropwire with the little Sleeve Dropwire 2A. In which case the Block Terminal (which is a slightly unusual one which someone might like on Ebay) might be replaced with a new NTE5C...

Help with installing new light arranging wires in connector block

Suggest you give your friend some plastic cutlery as he obviously shouldn't be allowed metal tools.

    Spacer between CU and trunking

It's very nice carpet for a shed :D I think it's a neat job. Although I'm not sure if splashback offcut meets the requirement for non-combustable. Otherwise we could make consumer units out of it.

£200M of tax payers money for private home upgrades?

Where? Many of these high-rise buildings are high-rise because land values are so high. Even if you build a new high-rise you still have hundreds of residents to be decanted for years while the work is being done.

    Hide Cables

Only one? I had a houseful. Almost every original socket (and cooker point) in the kitchen had been plasterboarded or wet palstered over, with terminal strip protected by a piece of cardboard. Some of the bedrooms had blanking plates where the underfloor heating themrostats had been.

Horstmann Economy 7 Quartz not heating water in timed mode

Are you sure it's the timer? You appear to have off-peak load and boost load connected - two immersion heaters? I think it's more likely the off-peak immersion heater over-temp stat has tripped or the element is faulty. This assumes the Horstman is set at the correct time and goes round and...

    Consumer unit Upgrade

Not sure yet. Bakelite suggests it's not going to be DP fused, but I can't see clearly and the arrangement looks a bit unusual. Might be nice to check the earth on/from the supply cable if there is one.

    Consumer unit Upgrade

Could you remove the boxing-in completely and take a photo straight on at floor level of the service fuse and meter. You might need your cutout renewed too (which would be free, done by the electricity distibutor).

connect wireless doorbell transmitter to old bitron door phone

Looks like it should be. 12 Vac coil. The coil connections to the Bitron are labelled B. Then to the Voxon connect 1 and either 2 or 3. Not sure which is normally-open or normally-closed but if you get it wrong the Voxon will ring continuously.

connect wireless doorbell transmitter to old bitron door phone

You will need a relay with a 10-12 volt AC coil connected to Bitron 11 and 6. This looks suitable but I can't be completely certain. https://cpc.farnell.com/finder/55-32-8-012-0000/relay-dpco-12vac/dp/SW03980 Terminals 13 and 14 to Bitron Terminals 5 and 9 to doorbell transmitter. You...

Is Consumer Box Big enough to take 45A trip for Shower

It's likely that whoever installs the shower unit will have to liaise with your DNO (distribution network operator) for them to come and pull the main fuse, and return and reseal, as the work should not be done live. You may also require a fuse upgrade if your existing fuse is less than 80...
