Should i put two bolts into the top of my garage?

They can't make too much noise as it's located near our flats. I was worried about they levering it or however they'd try and get in quietly. What about a bolt into the floor and into the top?

Should i put two bolts into the top of my garage?

Got two bolts at the bottom of my garage door but when I push the top of garage in I get the top pushing in as you can see in picture. would someone be able to push the top and snap the bottom two bolts and get in or am I worrying too much ? Should I put two bolts similar to the bottom at the top?

Spilling paint and cleaning iron gates

it was quite a small can. Wrapping gaffer tape around it an OK idea? I previously dropped some sealant onto tarmac. Throw all tools and paint into a flexi bucket so at times stuff falls out when I am carrying it. If i spill inside is it a case of using towels first then what?

Spilling paint and cleaning iron gates

Spilled some paint on patio steps so tried to get as much up as possible with cloths then put hose on it with a metal brush. It ran into tarmac pavement but seemed to get rid of it all with the hose running endless water on it. What do u do if u spill inside a house or on other places? This...

Drilled through to neighbour's garage side

Yeah I wasn't happy with it. Too many holes and not smooth round edges (the brick edge). I guess tapes some small bits of wood round edge to get right shape. Like mini shuttering. I offered to put more filler in the holes but she said its ok and to leave it as is.So what can i do?

Drilled through to neighbour's garage side

I'll text her ask her to look at it and say can go over small holes in filler with more filler if she wants. Filling holes in walls is easy I just found this harder. Maybe cos brick is above mortar

Filler knife. With the sander. I do plenty of painting all the time so worth considering a different one to mouse that I have.

I just got a mouse sander. Will that do? Will cover all stuff with sheets and hold vac next to it. I do a lot of painting so u reckon buy an orbitsl or 1/3 whatever that is

Drilled through to neighbour's garage side

I am guessing she's divorced. Why else would she be in a one bed flat next to me at the age of 60. As in photo above I put filler proud of brick mostly (like u would on a wall before painting ) but it's still a bit soft. Do I need to wait until it's rock hard before sanding? Electric or by...

Drilled through to neighbour's garage side

Put first layer of filler. Gonna wait 4 hrs before second layer goes on. Tried to get filler off motar and brickwork with damp cloth. b She's still furious because I didn't tell I suspected I had drilled through at Christmas and I thought her garage was the other neighbours. It is...

Drilled through to neighbour's garage side

I'll offer to paint the wall if she isn't happy with just filler. Offer to do the whole garage? The bricks are two thick, is it an easy job for a brickie to take dsmaged brick out and put new one in without damaging wall?

Drilled through to neighbour's garage side

So might have drilled through. Her side smashed out because its weak soft lime brick and exposed drill hole. I might not be liable. but for neighburly harmony best to try and fix it

Drilled through to neighbour's garage side

it's a plug pushed through i can see. The bricks must be two thick as the thunderbolts didn't come all the way through. The bricks are these lime ones or lime and sand bricks. They're notoriously soft and crumbly. She's a difficult person and I have white filler but obviously it will be...

Drilled through to neighbour's garage side

The thunderbolt might be sticking out otherside then. I'll have to replace it with shorter one. On reflection, the white brick is soft maybe should have not used sds drill when trying brown plugs and just use normal drill setting. Plugs might have got a better grip that way. She hasn't...

Drilled through to neighbour's garage side

On a practical note the bricks are these white soft things, so get similar coloured motar or filler. Any practical way of gauging thickness of walls?
