    Ok this bit of 9mm hardwood down the side closes the one inch gap so it's too small for a crowbar. Planning on painting it and cutting a groove for metal bit where bolt goes in and putting screws all the way down which aren't easily accessed. There's a few inches at the top still original...

    . That's easier to work with than metal. Could plane down an angle so door doesn't catch as well when closing. Isnt wood easier to get out. I mean stick a spade down the join and lever it out. I guess long screws will make that tricky

    I think I know what you mean. The top left side of T would be behind door as well like the metal in my picture to prevent a crowbar and other side behind the frame with vertical part of T down the side

    The garage is located right next to a block of flats. Mine is 40 metres away but one flat just ten metres. It's on a private road off the public road. Up a steep hill. I think anyone who wanted to break in would do it quietly. A car smashing into it would wake everyone up.

    I guess just little tricks to speed you up so Put the legs on with it standing as it should be or upside down? Quick way to get the bolts into slots, I found they didn't fit well so hammered them in etc etc. Also generally with flat packs - general tips on being quick

    Not only the gas meter but there are virgin media cables which previous gardener cut. I was thinking protecting the cables with a plastic tube or something
