Will upgrading the OS give new life to my computer?

To explain the reason for that NTFS writes each block in consecutive order ie:beginning of the drive 1.2.3.4.5 etc EXT starts in the middle of the drive and writes each side outwards This is why EXT is FAR more efficient and suffers MUCH less from "disk thrashing"

CAR MAKING A HISSING NOISE WHEN BRAKING

All the servo does is take the pressure that you press down on the brake and multiply it. The idea is so that you don't require as much effort to brake harshly if need be.

As long as you don't need to fresh install it. Microsoft has switched OFF activation for new XP installs so you'll only get 30 days usage. You could of course use a cracked version or suchlike but you'd need to be a real thicko to use ANY kind of software like that if you intend on using...

    Graphics Card installation problems

What cards were in them before ? If it's "onboard Graphics" then you'll need to go into BIOS and select pci (or whatever the option is - can't remember) BEFORE installing the other card. If you already had a nVidia card in then It'd probably be prudent to remove the nVidia driver before...
