    ...over £11000 minus grant.The Utility companies are Nationwide.....but most are "not in your area".. I did a fair bit of Plumbing when I was younger so know a bit about what needs doing...and these quotes are out of order........no wonder there is Slow Uptake with the grant.......

    They quoted me over £11000 for Heat Pump, Hot water cylinder & 5 Rads....for a 2 bed bungalow in Penzance where we seldom get 0* in Winter. What sort of house can they install all this for £2999.- +5000 grant as advertised? Wendy?

    I have applied to EDF, OVO, Good Energy, E.on...........none has mentioned that I MUS have bigger Rads by Law, in fact one of them quoted me for retaining existing rads......... I can understand with the Guarantee...but this was not mentioned....

    Yes, I understand that most houses will need new Rads. We live in Penzance where winter Temps. seldom fall below freezing. In their advert for installations, they state "Installations start from £2999.-. They also guarantee the heating will be equivalent to a gas boiler ....or money...

    I pointed out to him that we only use one Rad., our house is warm. I have measured the temperature of the water in the Rad ...50*, which I believe is the same temperature from a Heat Pump.

    Yes, now they will be hung in a dry/airy shed to dry out before anything else. Dry weather forecast here for a good few days....

    Yes , I remember "the green bits" I washed that that off with Sodium Percarbonate, the whole gates. Getting forgetful, it's that age.... It's been out in very heavy rain for 3 days and they are not getting any heavier so assuming Primer is doing it's job,....2 coats .

    I have gone over the Knots with 2 part wood filler then primered the whole gates with 2 coats. I have rubbed it all down with a wire brush and the primer hasn't been disturbed, holding up well.

    No sign of Mould/Algae. Going to dry them out for a week, as been bucketing down here, then an oil based primer , then Superdec. I assume when it has been gone over with a wire brush and Power washed it will not need sanding again?

    Thanks, I have used 2 part filler. Now using wire brush and pressure washer to get the Ducksback off. Surprisingly it doesn't affect the All primer...

    Yes, unfortunately I Primed the whole door!! The Aluminium stood up well to the rain..That Sadolin seems to be what I need. I used Ducksback on my Shed and it worked well.....so I thought........ Thank you.

    That was a disaster....painted one side of gate with 3 coats Ducksback...left to dry....then leftbovernight out in rain....washed off. Can someone help wit paint recommendations please?
