Repaired Flat Roof - Can It Be Tested?

Looks like someone's had a good old bodge on that main roof as well then. The row of upside down tiles (don't know the proper name for them) on top of the bricks were more than likely in a neat straight line when the house was built, they certainly aren't now. So that whole end of the roof has...

OBR - This is full of golden nuggets.

So they admit they were wrong before, not only on this point either it has to be said, they could well be wrong again couldn't they. It is a projection, aka a guess, at the end of the day

It's very sporting killing these vermin.......

Yeah, beautiful creatures, until they rip up the turf you've just laid night after night. Had to build a tent of plastic mesh over the top of this so they would leave it alone.

120,000 deaths due to Austerity - Price worth paying?

Why? It would be fairly pointless. I'm pretty sure I can remember who won.

120,000 deaths due to Austerity - Price worth paying?

First picture is a rally in the middle of Liverpool, the second a photo op in an apparently rural location....... comparing apples with oranges there.

    Damp patch on floorboards

I would have thought the underlay would have been more likely to stick in the doorway where there was more foot traffic on it. That may be a red herring. Thinking outside the box... those tiles in the hallway look clean, someones not scrubbed them and hosed them off and let the water flood onto...

Repaired Flat Roof - Can It Be Tested?

I would say that is a fair assessment. The fact that he hasn't bothered to connect two pieces of clearly visible pipe could give a further clue to the quality of workmanship.

Desperate schoolchildren caught filling pockets with food to avoid going hungry at home

The 'poverty line' is mobile, as more people get better off the line moves up, but there will always be people below it whatever happens due to the way it is calculated. https://fullfact.org/economy/poverty-uk-guide-facts-and-figures/ As for kids living below it. Housholds with children are...

BBC Still the most trusted source

It appears to me that as far as the BBC seem to be concerned when reporting the economy if it is bad news then it is "because of Brexit . . . . . .", but if it is good news then it is "despite Brexit . . . . . "

    Channel 7 freeview conundrum.

They could both be on the Guildford transmitter have a look here: https://ukfree.tv/maps/freeview zoom in and click the transmitters to see the coverage areas. It looks like both those towns are covered by several of them, whilst there are a few others that cover one town each. If she has...

    Channel 7 freeview conundrum.

Is her aerial pointing at the same transmitter as yours? I live in an area that is on the boundary between two transmitters, some of my neighbours get the London stations, others the South East stations, depending on which way the aerials are oriented.

Shame the bit of stench pipe through the roof isn't actually connected to the rest of it though.
